Thanks for a fascinating insight on this handy Airbus feature! I'm gaining a whole new appreciation of what the Airbus does for pilots and for the engineering thought that has gone into it.

Great tutorial; really articulate explanation - thank you. According to the Airbus SafetyFirst article on Descent Management the delta headwind is multiplied by a factor, k, depending on aircraft model. For the A320ceo k = 1, for the A320neo k=0.33. Can you help me understand why. I'm guessing that your tutorial must have used the ceo because the delta headwind isn't modified by any factor.

Thank you. So when ATC say “Wind 090 at 12 gust 25” you just program the lower speed into PERF?
@HolgerTeutsch4 жыл бұрын
Yes, GS mini accounts for the gusts
@320SimPilot4 жыл бұрын
You are welcome! As Holger says, yes you enter the average wind so in that case 090/12. Thanks for watching!

did you had an addons here to flex your wings during turbulence? Thanks

What are those points CI and FF called? I cant find them on my LIDO charts

Can you deactivate GS Mini when approaching under Managed Speed?
@tomstravels5203 жыл бұрын
Yes. Just type in the speed you want to fly at in the VAPP on PERF Page

I disagree, groundspeed mini is a safety perk added to the airbus aircraft and you should never override groundspeed mini on final approach. Its doing what its supposed to do as you mentioned in the video. If you have to adjust your speed due to red lining your flaps speed then you should be landing at a different runway. We should override any safety protections that the manufacturer installed in the aircraft just like we dont override the ELACS. Fly safe my friend
