Sorry Helen; I'm not gonna let you go! Your paintings are instantly recognizable for your direct transcription of your vision into clear, authoritative, straightforward brushstrokes. This gives your paintings an impact that very few others have - and I've been looking at paintings for over 50 years. So... I have to challenge you now: on your next video, make NO mention of color selection at all. But rather than get too dictatorial, I'll leave it to you to decide WHAT to say. Whatever may be, this pre-school color-by-number commentary has got to go! (You know I say everything with affection.... yes?)

Thanks again Robert. Your comments are really kind and helpful. As a bit of background explanation, I started doing these videos during lockdown for people who used to attend my art class. I transferred to teaching them on Zoom and so the videos were just a way of helping them. Most of them are past retirement age (being polite there!) So they were really pleased when I worked out ( eventually!) how to add text. I do cringe if I ever watch them though. As a compromise I will tell them the colours at the beginning of the video, and we’ll see how it goes. Thank you again.
