Lol Monty, what a wonderful garden companion. Your orange trees are beautiful. You have reminded me I need to get out and prune all of my roses. Thanks for sharing the apps. They will be very helpful.

I’ve had two dry creek beds in previous homes. My landscaper always incorporated small gravel in them. I think you would be happy adding that element to your dry creek bed.

Janey your yard is going to be beautiful when it comes to life! I'm in Illinois and I'm itching to get out in my yard. Did yesterday as it was 60 degrees but today it is 32.

Hi Janey. That poor almond tree is so confused. LOL I grew a sunflower over winter in a pot under the patio cover. Thank birds, the bee that found it was very happy 😂❤

I love the Summerific Hibiscus...but they are a lesson in patience! They are so pretty but usually the last to wake up in the Spring. Every year I wonder if mine have died over the winter. But, they finally leaf out and are more beautiful every year. Can't wait for Spring! ❤M

I was thinking of your white and black garden and thought that maybe adding different size glazed pots would look pretty. Maybe some rocks with ground cover like snowflake creeping phlox keeping the mondo grass in very low pots. Leaning pots with plants spilling out is also pretty. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi Janey 🌺 .It's nice that you were able to prune the bushes in this cold weather. I will plant a rose like yours in my garden because it has a beautiful color. You could add blue stones in the middle along the Dry Creek bed. We are enjoying sunny days. The weather has changed because it doesn't rain as much as other years. Have a wonderful day.🌻🌺🌻🌺

Hi Janey! Maybe you already know this, but iPhone has a built-in identifier! I’ve used seek and another one in the past but now I just use the one built into the photos app in iOS. I honestly haven’t taken the time to compare them though so 3rd party apps might be more feature-rich but I guess I go for the built-in one out of convenience.

Seeing your hori hori knife laying in the mulch made me think of those paracord wraps people make for knife handles and I'm voting you get the brightest pink or orange cord you can find to make your knife easier to find in the garden! If you have a secure cover for the blade you could even let one of the girls make the wrap.

Looks fabulous! But you could you more bigger greens next to the dry creek bed to make it look natural...like mexican sage or some California evergreens...it looks great, but planned.

Hi Janey, great video on pruning! Question, what is the best way to prune Crepe Myrtle trees? Also, how do we treat them systematically now that the regular systemic treatment has been outlawed in California? Thank you 🙏🏼 😊💜

Thanks for the reminder! I need to go prune my Summerifics also! I wish I had as many as you. Question, I’ve decided to move them to a spot with more sun, is this the time of year to move the hibiscus?

A Good morning. It does appear to be on a chilly side out there. At time stamp 8:11 was that the new knife Jason got you. If so, it is near the rose that you pruned.

Janey, you are a trooper to go out in this weather and garden (and not even the fun kind of gardening). I had no idea we are supposed to cut Hibiscus so far back. Is that for all Hibiscus or just that variety?
