Excellent video! I did not know the role tannins played in oxidation so that was really interesting to learn. I love orange wine, but I used to think I didn’t like tannic reds. What I have learned from trying lots of different red wines though is I enjoy high tannin reds a lot actually when there are lots of other things going on in the wine to balance out the tannins. Tannat is a favorite type, such a complex and interesting wine! Love these deep dives, keep them going!

They're huge for winemakers - oxidation is one of the primary reasons we stress over tannin :) Tannat is WILD!

I fell in love with Mendoza, then (for some reason) just stopped drinking Argentinian wine (weird, I know) - and now I'm rediscovering them, and they're AWESOME!

When that full-blown mouthwatering tannin hits, and it feels like you're munching on soft chalk - my face literally melts!

I have drank so much powerful skin contact wines that at this point, it is very hard for me to taste a red wine and be like, omg this is way too tannic, this needs to age😅
