We visited our first winery in Portugal - Quinta da Almiara. We LOVE Portuguese wine and want to learn lots more about it. The winery is based in Ventosa which is only 30 minutes from Lisbon. It was an incredible experience and reasonably priced. You can go for a wine tasting and / or brunch. It’s family friendly too so kids are welcome. Check out our experience.

I had never heard about this place, maybe because I am from the north, but I was very happy and at the same time sad, because I would love to be in Portugal, but if everything goes according to schedule in August I will be around and I will not drink wine by the glasses but yes direct from the wine barrel 🤗🤗😂😂 Enjoy guys you deserve it for your simplicity 🤗🤗

Olá Hygge Journey! What a great video. What a lot of fun!! I think this is the most thorough wine tour I've seen... very interesting. That building was actually quite attractive... very interesting architecture. I'll have to check it out when I'm back in Portugal. Your guide was so lovely, she has a wonderful personality. Lovely! Do you know of any other wineries that are generally close to Quinta da Almiara? Going to Lisbon in a couple of weeks and am trying to set up a day of wine tours!

Adegamae is also quite special. It’s in the same area. It’s 30-45 min from Lisbon but it’s real wineries not just some shop… so you can see the actual farm if you like. Don’t forget to book in advance. Here is a link to the other one adegamae.pt
