Great video, Madeline thanks for sharing. Kudos for highlighting an important part of Italy that isn't Toscana or Piemonte. I love wines from Alto Adige, and Schiava and Lagrein are amazing. Cheers!

Loved this! Could really feel your anxiety, but also your admiration and excitement about the crazy stuff you did/were about to do in one of the most beautiful wine regions. Thank you for your honest, educational and down to earth content.

The climbs on their own are already wonderful but the selection of wines and these marvelous bikes are cherries on the cake.

Not sure I’ve enjoyed one of your vids more than this! Fun, beautiful and informative from start to finish. Nicely produced. (loved the 🎧 analogy 😊). Aldo was the perfect partner Madeline. Hope you can find a way to do another trip like this. Taking us along the way you did was the best. 🍷

No drink and drive - Yup! "No drink and ride." ? 8:08 In all my years of biking, I can honestly say that's a rule that... I've never really adhered to. ;) Edit: Great video! Edit-edit: Wow! The 'audiophile headphones' vs. 'high-end audio system in a dedicated room' is a great analogy!

My tour of Wilammette did not adhere to this rule either. lol

Thank you for being an engaging, educator and creator, and not a wine critic. I am so glad you are still riding your bicycle, telling folks to “peace-out,” and to “learn by drinking,” oops, I mean by “tasting.”

As an ex pro cyclist , I know this frame maker well. Dario will always be remembered. Other great Italian frame makers are Sarto , formigli and Passoni etc. I have raced on Colnago frames for many years. Looks like you had fun. X

This is a fantastic video. The blend of the scenic views on your bike rides and the storytelling along with all the wine tastings and the fun facts with all the maps about the different regions where the different types of grapes grow, made it really fun to watch. The Royal We just started to post videos about wine on our new wine channel. Would love to know what you think. And yes, we're working hard to improve the production. We'd still love to hear any comments / criticisms or other feedback. Cheers!

The name Alto Adige was invented by the fascists. The correct name of the region is Südtirol (South Tyrol).
@winefolly2 ай бұрын
I have since learned this is a very touchy subject for the local folks here. Since both Italian and Germanic languages are printed here (Südtirol and Alto Adige) most outsiders call it Alto Adige since that's the Italian name and technically, it's an Italian wine region.
