Back from Christmas trip! Merry Christmas again, Bob! The Emilio Moro is almost a threat if I don't buy it; fine, I will! I've been to Rias Baixas as the past years. I tried a few more albariños, got a bottle of a local red (I'm obssessed with indigenous red grapes from Rias Baixas, amazing style). Looking forward to showing my New Year's Eve line-up! Cheers

I’m headed to Costco now and per the app they have. Not on this list but I’m also picking up some Kirkland Ribera del Duero Gran Reserva which for some reason only one Costco in my area has.

As for the Kirkland Ribera del Duero I suspect it must be somewhere but around the south Florida area there is only one Costco that shows it. I bought 4 to enjoy in the future. Lastly I know Livermore. Went to a wedding there years ago.

Thanks for the video, and all the great content this year Bob. Can't always find every wine here in the UK, but the insights are appreciated all the same. (One minor techy point, it would be good if you could turn up the audio levels on your videos. Coming to you from a Konstantin Baum vid I had to really strain to hear (too lazy to turn up my volume :-) ). Interestingly the audio levels improved at around the 12 minute mark.)

Bob, I love your content because you recommend outstanding wines that the average consumer can buy so that they can drink at table. Before watching this video, I suffered through 2 of your competitors videos showcasing the best wines of 2024. What pretense , these wines are for the elite , none of those wines could be enjoyed by the average consumer. The wines featured were all over $100. Kudos to you for offering great values that punch north of mediocrity.

I very much appreciate your comment. The wine world is heaped with outstanding values. It’s a matter of knowing where to look. It doesn’t cost $100+ to experience artisan wines that show a sense of place. BTW, I’ve had plenty of $100+ wines that were thoroughly disappointing. Cheers! 🍷

That Vietti is an amazing value - had it in a meal ahead of a younger Barolo and that Barolo had some work cut out for it to rise above the barbera

Great video Bob. We had the 2018 Emilio Moro at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Aruba of all places about two years ago. Fantastic wine. And what’s funny is I kind of forgot about it until I saw your last video you showcased it. Definitely going to be buying more. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Good, two that you should definitely add to your list. Nice line up of wines. I’ve had the ‘21 Zuccardi Concreto, love it. I’ve had Luca OV as well, but I think it was a different vintage. Happy Holidays! 🍷

Thank you,@@bobpaulinskimasterofwine! The Concreto's thyme aroma and quality red grapes without the usual oak is literally and figuratively refreshing! Pairing it with ribeye in garlic-thyme butter was phenomenal!! However, when paired with an EVOO-seared Ribeye, the just-acquired Luca pulled out a surprising victory over a 2019 Le Petit Smith Haut Lafitte and the Concreto. The rematch between the Concreto and Luca with the former food pairing is definitely raising the excitement in our kitchen! ;-)

Spot on selections with the Wente CS a bit of a surprise but worth trying. Craggy Range SB is a never miss no brainer. Have had Cru Beaujolais at 15 years old with little if any fade just more pinote. Love the grapevine tattoo on your arm. Talk about identity. Need a little more sound volume?

Hi John, the Wente was a surprise for me as well. Craggy Range 👍 I always cellar away top Cru Beaujolais. Wonderful wines. As for the tattoo, it’s from a visit to Kuala Lumpur, my home away from home. The sound volume, it’s set at the same levels as my other videos, but I’ll lift it a bit in future videos. Hi there. Big difference. Cru Beaujolais is from the best vineyards of the region. Nouveau Beaujolais is generally from the more commercial vineyards. It’s a much more simple, fruity wine.

Not the same wine, you have the one that’s a step under the Wetmore. It’s good, but less concentrated.
