ok, I have a question. is there anyway we could perhaps be picky and choose what we buy from your e-learning portal?
@travellingstranger3378

why are the vines grown following the slope rather than on terraces that hug the slopes in a step like manner. This might extend premier crue zones (based on water retention) and protect soil from erosion. Could also allow for meccanised harvest (maybe). Is it just that there is an adversioon to change or there is no particular reason why terracing could not be implemented? Costs perhaps?

Do you reckon the Western Winds coming from the Gulf could net you a mark as weather hazards ? You mentioned frosts,rainfall and hailstorms at 30:00
@WineWithJimmy
@WineWithJimmy 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Akatsuki - it's what the western winds bring (clouds and rainfall) that would be the problem.

@@WineWithJimmy That sounds like it would be worth a point in the exam although it's not directly mentioned in the textbook. Thanks for the reply and the content.

Thank you , super helpful to help tie it all together. Would you be willing to explain how a wine label can state, echezeau, Vosne Romanee, Domain De La Romanee Conti all in one... is it from Echezeau or Romanee.... I doubt that makes any sense, hope it does. Also, any chance you would share the other two lessons in this session 🤞. Thank you!!!

Do you think an advanced somm , csw can knock out wset knock out this exam pretty quick?
@WineWithJimmy
@WineWithJimmy Жыл бұрын
A certified somm background with definitely stand you in good stead for WSET Level 3, but it won't guarantee a pass without sticking to a good study plan and rigorous attention to the course textbook. Check with your local course provider to establish a course/study format that will work best for you.

Hi Jimmy, is Pinot susceptible to rot because of its thin skin so when it rains the berries split easily?
@WineWithJimmy
@WineWithJimmy 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Alessandro - yes this part of this issue. Mainly, Pinot Noir's thin-skin is susceptible to being punctured by the fungus, causing botrytis bunch rot (grey rot) - it might not necessarily split the berry, but it does cause structural problems to the grape.
