I remember attending a workshop with Abraham Grösfjeld i Västerås back in 1997 where he showed some vhs tapes with you among others training. In one of the scenes, someone had shot you doing just one centerline punch, filmed over your shoulder. I remember reacting to the speed and form. Directly after the workshop, Jerker Davidsson who I trained with asked me if I noticed that punch too!!! Crazy! Lovely memories!!

Wow, 1997, a long time ago. I’ve got a lot of VHS tapes of my old training days, and will find out how to convert it digitally, then post it online. There should be some great footages.

Hello Master Tang, watching your video brought back great memories. I trained with you in the early to mid eighties in Bell Road Hounslow. What you taught me has helped me through my career to keep focused and fit. The training you shared I continue to practice today but my standard has probably dropped off. Do you still teach students in Wing Chun either in a class environment or one to one, if so I would be grateful to train with you once more. Kind regards Mike

Hi Mike, unfortunately I don’t teach anymore, and have not done for many years. It’s great to hear from the past and that you have benefitted from the training. I remember Bell Road, Hounslow club well. It was such a great club and was thriving with very dedicated students. I wish you all the best.

Master Tang, thank you for your reply, it’s a shame you do not teach anymore you had such natural ability and professionalism. I have tried other instructors a couple of times over the years but it was never the same. I will continue to train alone not for fighting as I’m not a fighter just for physical and mental wellbeing. Take care. Mike

Thank you Sifu. That was very well explained. How about more visuals whilst explaining. Nothing wrong with sitting down but it would look a bit more professional if you were standing hitting a mitt or bag/wall bag 🤷🏽♂️... just an idea.

Thoroughly enjoy your clips, was just wondering what’s your view on practicing the chain punch with 1kilo wrist weights is it a negative or a positive in your view?
@tangproductions4 жыл бұрын
Definitely good when punching with small weight like 1kg for heaviness, as long as you mix it with unloaded speed punch training.

I tend to hand hold a short 0.5-1kg metal weight/bar
