THIS is REAL Wing Chun! With the power generation through spiraling, rooting, structure etc. So much onedimensional fake stuff around on KZbin (and the schools in my country, unfortunately). But THIS is AWESOME! You are a real master!

SIFU CHAN I'd really like to know how many styles of Gung Fu have you studied? You are truly great at bringing it to a level that anyone can understand and you show it real time and break it down to slow motion you reminded me of my GRANDMASTER A 1000 likes to you and keep up the great work 👍

So glad you mentioned the ginger fist 🤛

Once got hit with the ginger fist in an open hand competition that was not meant to hit full contact. It was a liver shot. I recovered and beat the guy with a series of open hand strikes landing in multiple areas. Without ever having to use elbows. Love this channel. You are doing it right without being cocky.

Conceptually similar to using "gunting" in FMA.

Before watching this I wasnt sure what 3rd form is to you. To Me its Chum Kiu. I was taught Mook Jong 2cd and told later that , it was a recent change from Chum Kiu being taught 2cd form. I never heard the term Gingerfist either but once you demonstrated all of it , I have seen that. Very interesting how you expalin everything. Thank you Sifu.

I really enjoy watching you work. I really like wing chun as I see the best of the two arts I've trained - mantis and shingyi. I did play wing chun fir a short time between mantis and shingyi, but my shoulder muscles were too tight and I started chi Sao too quickly with much stronger guys and injured my shoulder. I see the short power and connection you guys develop, I'm guessing from playing the dummy. We also develop that in shingyi from clashing the bodies together on one another and other objects, trees, etc.. and also the post standing and a lot of rolling hands. I fo think that wing chun can be developed much quicker if done right - which is what the developers had in mind I'm sure.

Do you have a video on knuckle or hand conditioning?

That last ginger punch is to the brachial nerve for sure hahaha not sure about the first one but near where the serratus anterior innervates maybe?
@skineyemin42762 жыл бұрын
None of this will be effective if one is not not doing the proper conditioning and deeply practicing Chi Sao with a partner, otherwise, those are just great moves. Obviously, Sifu Adam Chan know truly his art and is in super condition.

Unrealistic. Nobody is gonna throw a strike and stay stationary for you to counter. I've seen these blocks in boxing.
