I too have Ceiling Fans but since I have Parrots 🦜 in the House now I am using Tower Fans so that they 🦜🦜 can be Safe and also enjoy flow of Air 🦜😍 Coz in India it’s too hot in Summer!!! Also loved the point for drawing attention to the Bathroom and for keeping the Top Cover Closed as they might get into it to drink water which is dangerous 🚽 !!!! And even for considering Cables and Plants 🪴 in the house! This Video surely gives us some reminders of those little things to be taken care of! And educating us as well!!!! I am in the Favour of not Clipping them up! Thanks for this beautiful Video!!! By the way, I loved watching Ricco taking free flights and enjoy in the house freely…and the fact that Ricco’s Wings aren’t Clipped…!!! Thanks for loving Ricco so much…!!!!!! 🦜❤️🥰😍💐💐💐💐

That’s very smart, we use tower fans as well unless it is nighttime when we go to bed. This topic is so controversial and I was worried how others felt about it but I had so many requests to make a video on this topic. I’ve always had full flighted birds myself so it’s never been a question for me, but with this also comes risks. Ricco loves flying and it would just kill him to take that away from him. I think every situation is different so I don’t judge. The worst anyone can do is have a full flighted bird who is locked up in a cage for life . I did my best to cover both pros and cons with both, hopefully it can help someone make the right decision for there bird. 🦜❤️

Nobody should feel judged as this Video is for all bird lovers! One of Ringneck Parrots 🦜 flew away due to our carelessness. Even then I haven’t Clipped Wings of any of my Parrots! This will take their freedom away 😞 So, at present I have all three Full Flighted Ringneck Parrots. ( forgot to tell you…just some 5 days ago a baby Parrot 🦜 fell down from a Tree in the early Morning, right in front of my house and a lady spotted it. She came running picked it up quickly as the Street dog was about to grab her…and handed over to me! That was the most beautiful Morning for me! Felt so blessed. As you know so many Wild Parrots keep coming as I feed them regularly. ) just for your information 🦜😍❤️😍

It is so beautiful to watch birds fly but as you mentioned in the video it also comes with many risks. I suppose every situation will be different but it's just something about watching a bird fly freely.

Ricco loves flying and I love watching him fly. He has had close encounters with injuries, but thankfully it wasn’t serious. All we can do is try to keep them safe ❤️

Hi Rocco and Riccos mom.I don't clip Angels wings but if I take him outside i put Angel in a travel cage so he doesn't fly away.Angel gets scared when he goes outside especially when he hears a Dog barking.Ricco is so lucky to have a wonderful bird owner like you.Thanks so much for the wonderful video.Yes I allways have angel in his cage when i cook in the kitchen. The veterinarian told me not to clip his wings because they loose their balance.so I take the advice from Angels veterinarian.

@@Riccothegreenpiedirn hi yes it's better to be safe when we take our birds outside.Yes I will give Angel a kiss from you and Ricco.I notice at Petco they are short on Angels pellets and I can't have delivered to my apartment because they are spraying chemicals where the mail comes. so I got a PO box where I can have Angels stuff delivered to the PO box with no chemicals.have a wonderful day with the adorable Ricco.

@@Riccothegreenpiedirn The veterinarian used to trim angels wings but I stopped clipping his wings about 2 years ago because at night time he would fall off of his perch.so the veterinarian quit trimming his wings and when his wings grow back he hasn't fallen down in his cage.I am very careful with my angel when he goes outside.I allways have a travel cage when I take my angel out side.you also have a wonderful day also with the adorable Ricco.Much love to you and Angel.

This theme sure is discussed about very emotional. But I could not imagine to clip my own pet because i like them natural and independent. I would feel so bad making such an impact on my pet and same time make the bird more dependent on me than before. I even would have to repeat that treatment every year and think of the psychic effect this has on your bird and the relation of trust between you and your bird, no, no, no. But ok, it´s not forbidden and other people may have different thoughts on all that.

I try not to judge because every situation is different. I think this goes with anything in life. Hopefully others can make a right decision for the safety of their bird and well-being.

our ringneck was very fearful when we got him, he kept flying into walls so we clipped his wings once, now hes a lot more used to the house and flies around safely, were just waiting for his feathers to come back and he will be fully flighted

Aww that’s amazing. Once they start to fly there is no stopping them lol. Just be careful with windows and mirrors, if they get scared and fly fast they may fly into them. It’s happened with Ricco but thankfully he was ok. They are very powerful when they fly and can really hurt themselves or even die from the impact. Just be sure to keep covers on windows when he his out and about 😊

@@Ash-zd4vw There are still chances that they will bang into a window when startled. I always keep blinds semi closed when Ricco is out because he is so fast when he flies. Even though he is great at flying mistakes can happen, so I’m always extra careful. Its so beautiful to watch them fly, it’s just good to take precautions with windows and mirrors.

Its fine to clip rhere wimgs, as long as there out the cage all the time, we have a male 7 yesrs old now, and when hes fewthers come back he only flys when he needs to amd wpuld rsther just climb on the ground and play with hes toys

Hi I think I'd never clip my parrots wings unless medical reasons... Also why is Riccos colour like that. Like a bit of yellow in green? Is this because of genetically reasons?

Ricco is a green pied Ringneck parrot, he is a mutation. I have a video all about him in my playlist. He is a rare mutation but now a days there are many different mutations such as blue and white and many more.
