@SifuMartinDragos: I'm a 1st degree Technician. What you say here is the basic and fundamental key to all learning and I truly hope that we all find the right teachers to help us find our way. That doesn't mean you'll learn the Biu Tze footwork in 10 days. Thanks for clarificiation.

@SifuMartinDragos It's good to see that you are willing to show us all the information about wing chun/tsun. Unlike some so-called "Grandmaster or Master" who always make everything look like top secrets.

I think this is a great video and great skill... As to those who ask if this is "true" Wing Chun... what does that even mean? There are several lineages of Wing Chun and several different perspectives. This Sifu's skill shows that he is doing Wing Chun and therefore it is his "True" Wing Chun. Great video and skill.

@SifuMartinDragos: you are right. Of course. But that's part of a student's learning process. How to find a good teacher (Sifu) who knows about the whole system and who knows how to teach. Have you ever had training with Emin or Salih Avci? These are good teachers, and you learn very fast with them. Also Tassos from Greece is great. Anyway, good luck for your school!

@mikmiranda07 iv also found by working with partners not in wt that the chi sao is a great way to force a position for any set arm tecs it works really well and has allowed me to incorperate not just my tai chi into the wt fighting style but also ksw which is what my outside partner pratices once ur coumfertable with chi sao its easy to get in the face of some one not use to it and gide them into it with out them knowing what ur doing all the "some one would never grab like that" tecs work well

@sihingsteve1 if you knew anything about the wing tsun system he is talking about, you would understand that very few people are ever given the complete system, basically the information is held back whether your ready or not. You are right when you say it takes years of practice, but without the info, what are you going to practice? Dragos even says you are there to get the info and your to take it back and practice it. He is only providing the material that would take 10 to 20 years elsewhere

@mikmiranda07 wIt must be trained enough so that once you make contact with the opponent, you will know instincively what to do next. But in of itself, its not fighting or even sparring. The reason being in a real fight, you must know how to effectively control the range, the distance between you and the opponent. Wing Chun is very close quarters, so you must know how to evade inital attacks, then know how and when to move into 'our' range. Thats where the Chi Sau would shine.

you dont. he shows you a lot of things, and the learning and digesting starts at home. maybe the marketing is confusing, but the seminar is sure worth it - it is what you need at the levels between student and teacher. Getting gaps filled basically, getting inspirations - and errors corrected. Then you reinforce at home.

@Helmuth10000 I asked myself the same thing. And to be honest if you train everyday then you wont come to a "stuck" point you can go on to teach yourself if you have the right understanding of the martial art.

super (:
@Amerigo7313 жыл бұрын
I don't understand you. You know exactly how long it takes only to teach Chi-Sao ... it takes years. The reason is called "practise". It's not possible to learn without practise. Your WT still looks great.

@mikmiranda07 chisao is a drill. you train reflexes/motions/senses/pressure/focus/speed... etc That all is needed on the street - but it is not obvious to the observer. Join a school. Its hard to understand from pictures videos and text - and impossible to learn from internet.
