Interesting. I’m far From a doctor but I have been on Acarbose for my reactive hypoglycemia for years. I still can’t grasp how it doesn’t make my blood sugar go low post meal. Would ozampic work for reactive Hypoglycemia too?

Hey David, I just got prescribed acarbose. And l immediately thought, wouldn't it make my blood sugar drop. Especially because I don't really have big spikes in blood sugar, idk if it's because I just don't or because I just eat veggies and meat. But either way I still drop randomly, or when I workout. Just wondering if your experience is similar?

@@jeremiahsimpson8853 it’s very complicated I’ve found. I do have similar experiences as you. I’ve found when I go keto it stabilizes my blood sugar BUT I have zero margin for error meaning my baseline is like 70. On acarbose I eat a balanced meal and avoid lows. I still stay away from simple sugars. Hope they helps

Good question. But probably not. Acarbose is taken in tablet form, so it's swallowed whole-- and inactive until it dissolves. I've never seen an order for acarbose to be chewed, or suspended in the mouth for a while.
