👁️ Winged Eyeliner Demo | First Impressions

I am NOT a makeup expert so I'm always looks for products that help give the result I want, with minimal effort. This is the dual-sided eyeliner from Kash Beauty. One side is a liquid eyeliner and the other an eraser. It's genius! But can it help me get the winged line I want?

I think it might not leave colour after you clean it off because of residues of that cleaning bit, idk how to explain. Surely though it's not that pigmented

Once you have hooded lids and wrinkles you can't free style the wing anymore. I went on Amazon and bought eye tape that they use to put eyelash extensions on. It's gentle and not too sticky. I just place the tape where I want the wing and use the edge of the tape to guide me. I'm able to make a small wing and after I remove the tape , I take a Q-tip and make sure it's perfect. It is the only way I can get a wing. I have resigned myself to the fact that a big sweeping wing is no longer flattering. It's been working great for me. Try it.

There are videos where influencers use scotch tape, surgical paper tape you can buy in any drugstore or even Post it page marker's to align tape with the lower lid edge to create where you want your wing to be placed. I'll try to find one for you. I've used all 3 types of tape, but these tapes on amazon are cheap and work well.

The tip I heard was to practice every night before bed when all you were going to do was take it off anyway. It reduces pressure and you get go at it wile relaxed. Mary the secret to doing liner wing is to think about drawing a triangle on the edge of your eye so don’t think about drawing a line across your lash what you wanna do is take the line upwards off your eye lash line, and literally draw a triangle at the corner with obviously the point going into your last line and the long side of the triangle sticking outside towards the side of your face I don’t know if I’m explaining myself very well, but give it a try once you’ve drawn your triangle. You then fill in the triangle using the eyeliner. It’s really the only way to get a decent flick without making it look like you’ve got downturned eyes- good luck! ❤

@@SkinObsessedMary hey Mary so I learned this technique from an amazing makeup KZbinr called Angela Bright you should actually watch her for eyeshadow Looks they are in my opinion the best that I have seen -she does a quick and easy eyeliner tutorial and if you type that in you will find her video it’s the simplest way that I found to get a perfect eyeliner- good luck 🍀

Hey Mary, I’m not sure if my reply has disappeared or not so I’ll send it again so I learned this technique from a KZbinr called Angela Bright who does amazing make up tutorials if you look for her quick and easy winged eyeliner tutorial you will find a couple of them. They’re pretty easy to follow, she generally does brilliant eye make up looks. So I hope this helps. 🤞🏻

Does it have a remover lotion in the eraser and that’s why it wouldn’t stick? A wedge eyeliner (wedge just on our corner of eyelashes) can give a similar effect to a winged liner.

Good Morning Mary, probably the residue from the eraser is causing the liner to not adhere to your skin. Also, applying in a more upward way from your outer lower lash line is what works best for most. I cannot do a winged eyeliner due to my wrinkly, hooded lids. Even trying to apply a liner l Along the lash line doesn’t work well for me, and I’m not about to do my waterline as my Optometrist advised me not to, as it really can cause eye problems after doing so for along time. Great try.

Looks like you've got the technique down...there is a L'oreal product at the drugstore with the same type of application that I use that works. Your lipstick looks great, can I ask what color it is? Thanks

Mary, Andrea Ali does a great tutorial on winged liner, you are actually supposed to draw a straight line from the centre of your top lid, looking straight-ahead into a mirror, so whilst it may seem counter-intuitive to draw a line straight from the centre of your upper lid, when you actually do this it looks like an upward flick!!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3LKd5KqjrlpfsU. Also Fenty and Charlotte Tilbury do brown liquid liners ... having said all of that, winged liner is hit-or-miss for me, somedays I get it bang-on, other days its a complete disaster!!! I have tried using a brown pencil as a guide first and then I go over this with the liquid liner, again it doesn't always work - there are days when I have to concede that my 54yr old wrinkles just don't wanna play dress-up !!!

Try watching this, starting at 11 minutes in for eyeliner. She always says to start angling up before the lateral end of the eye to prevent that drooping look.
