So very sorry to note that Dave Tate flew into the Delta on October 2, 2015 (shortly after turning 84) in Yellowknife NWT with family at his side. He will be remembered. Bravo Zulu my friend

Has taken years for me to find this chronicle of my pilot on 871 Squadron in the early fifties. Even has a picture of me on the wing strapping Dave in his cab prior to a flight in 1953 in the North Atlantic on the way to the Coronation. Had the pleasure to meet up and have dinner with Dave and Mary's daughter Julia just this week in Lunenburg NS. I was aboard when Dave had an engine failure on approach to Maggie and survived with a helicopter bringing him back aboard. What a guy !!!!! Best wishes Dave. Allan
