Great interview, thanks for having Mark on to speak! And a HUGE thank you to all the devs who've put work into this game! I love it, and the hard work and passion you've put into it is readily apparent. My only regret is that I don't have a boatload of money to donate to you, both as thanks and as incentive to keep developing.

20 years of effort on top of the day job. Hats off to the Marks. Clearly loves his subject citing the literature. Sounds like 1C need their AI guy to fix Il2! Thanks for setting this up

@@21wagstaff thank you! I would love it if IL2 had much more robust AI, I'd buy a lot more of their modules!

@ now that 1C are moving on to Korea I’d love to see a passionate team like OBD take over content. Look what Team Fusion have done for Cliffs of Dover. So much wasted potential in Flying Circus which is really a port of Rise of Flight with a couple of new collector planes

@21wagstaff It would be nice! We probably need some new blood with a vision for what can be done with it...

@rickrawlings6095 I would pay the full price for each plane alone, I am so starved off my favourite plane types. Taking a lazy saturday, stepping into the giant box kite and then off for some hours over the channel spotting for ships or something. Oh imagine the glory.

@GilbMLRS heh, well, I would want something to shoot, but I would not begrudge you your glory! Also, I don't know if you are active on the forums, but you should stop by and add it to the request list!

I appreciate having an interview with a dev from this underappreciated sim! I would like to offer one piece of constructive criticism. I found it hard to hear your guest a few times. His mic volume might have been a touch lower, but I think the engine noise was the main problem for me. Showing the game footage is fine, but I think the game sounds detract from the interview. You might want to omit it in future interviews. Just a minor complaint. Thanks!
@rickrawlings609510 күн бұрын
@someguy999 understood. His mic was lower, which was my fault as we did a quick check and it initially seemed fine. I boosted it up a bit but then my volume was overloading the system. I'll try to do a better initial sound check in the future. I also did try it without the game sounds at all and it was veeeeeery dry. You really can't make out Mark better without them, it has more to do with the E.Q. in this case, but you make a great point nonetheless. Thank you for checking it out!

@@rickrawlings6095 You're welcome! One more thing about the engine noise. I put the video at first and just listened to the interview on headphones as I did some chores. I actually thought the recording had a lot of distortion until I saw the video and realized it was engine noise. Even if it doesn't make the interviewee harder to hear, it might be worth leaving out because it can sound like distortion. Of course, I'm only one person, so maybe other people would prefer it in. Just my $0.02.

I could hear him fine. As a piece of constructive advise, I suspect the issue may be at your end.
@someguy9998 күн бұрын
@@JohnyG29 I don't doubt that many people could understand the whole interview. I found it easier when I switched to headphones myself. However, that doesn't invalidate my suggestions. Ideally, any interview would be accessible for the widest audience possible. Some people will be listening on lower quality devices, while others may have poorer hearing. Simply removing the game noise would increase the overall clarity.
