162 is crazy oh my god, forest engines are so much better in Oceania now with the addition of more egg-laying and tucking birds in the forest, and the nectar races. Good game!

I've played the Red-winged parrot before 16:33 with a lesser engine. 19:23 Peaceful dove! must remember to keep an eye out for this bird. Thanks for the info!

Great video. Just a suggestion, always show an image of the bird card you are talking about, especially the brown power. This will make it easier for me to follow along.

One thing to note is that eggs can be a big limiting factor for forest engines. This game you had the Astrapia and Cowbird. But I've found that the pink egg layers are less powerful in Oceania because it's very possible that your opponent will go the whole game only laying eggs a few times (I played a game where my opponent laid eggs once the entire game). I've found that grassland egg layers like the grasshopper sparrow, western meadowlark, or even thekla's lark, as well as when played egg layers like Say's Phoebe can pair well with a forest engine.

I completely agree. Also the teal powers that lay eggs at the end of the round have become insanely useful in Oceania

Pink egg layers drastically improve efficiency the more players there are. 2 players usually means they are weak and only a useful counter to grassland engines.

I played the egg cannon (partridge) in an Oceania game yesterday, and it worked great.
