My thoughts exactly! I was screaming for him to pick it up. Even if he didn't play it til later, it would have been a great 5th position bird. He got lucky to find the goose. Great game though

Sandhill Crane is great! But too early, it just kills all momentum, I need the food from the Maned Duck to be able to play birds so I can’t spent it getting tucks. Could I have picked up the crane and kept it for later - absolutely! But it’s worth noting when I play the games for these engine building videos, I do several takes so I’m willing to take more risks for the additional points. As you can see watching this game, it all worked out in the end 😉

Sometimes I find playing a really good food generator in the forest can get birds 3-5 down faster and I wonder if rainbow lorikeet could've accomplished that? I wonder if starting lorikeet and then following it up with taking food into full tuck build would've been really good here. thoughts?

I think the rainbow lorikeet is amazing! But this video is all about showing what can be done with just the wetlands, so I felt like playing a forest bird early wasn’t in the spirit of what was trying to show

I missed how you got all the food to quickly play the wetland birds so quickly. Also can you regularly switch to the habitat focused view so we can see the powers for each bird? It would be helpful for beginners like myself.

@@WinginitWingspan yeah, you could have scored over 180 points if you kept running the engine and not played the two birds in the grassland. Keep up the great videos!

Thanks, but I’m not sure that’s true! My wetlands at the end was only 8 points per turn, so 16 points over 2 turns. The two grassland birds got me 6 bird points, 7 bonus points, plus a free bonelli play at the game end for 11. I think that works out better than the 16 I would’ve got for drawing cards twice!
