@@burningknuckle26 Hi bk26. I just ordered a Winkbeds mattress 2 days ago. This after 3 weeks of intensive research. Just seems like a better fit all the way around. Even though I dont have the mattress yet the customer service so far has been phenomenal! I narrowed it down to WinkBeds and Saatva ... WB won after all was said & done. Looking forward to a better night's sleep!

The Winkbed is one of my TOP CHOICES and FAVORITE brands. I especially like their Luxe memory foam model. I really like they have this one in a soft. This such a great bed that I would LOVE To have one day.

It's very irritating that you barely stop on the pressure relief map for the heavier side sleeper...we missed it. Did it show any green or yellow or red?

I like sleeping on the bed instead of in it. I like the great edge support of a coil mattress (I sleep near the edge even when I'm alone)...but I'm a side sleeper and I didn't learn how the Winkbed stacks up against the rest.

I love that it had high edge support as this is usually where I end up sleeping. I share my bed with my boyfriend and 2 dogs , plus a chance of one or two toddlers climbing in bed.

Excellent review. Very thorough. Winkbeds looks like a really luxurious, high-end mattress at a very reasonable point. I'd love to know the firmness to someone in the 250lb range. I'm currently on the Tomorrow Sleep medium-firm hybrid & it's not firm enough for me. I think I need about a 8-8.5. My favorite mattresses in stores are the Tempur-Contour Elite Breeze, Tempur-ProAdapt Firm, & the Stearns & Foster Luxe Estate hybrid firm. I'm 5'2", 225-250lbs (depending on good I've been), a side and back sleeper who prefers a firm feel. I have chronic shoulder, neck, & back pain & MAJOR issues sleeping hot. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the kind words, Karayah! Wanting that 8+ firmness option makes sense for your build/sleep preferences and if you were to go with a Winkbeds mattress, we would highly suggest the PLUS which should sit at about an 8 for you. Another couple options to consider would be either the Titan or the Plank from Brooklyn Bedding. If you like firm, the Plank lives up to its name and the Titan is particularly firm/made specifically for heavier sleepers.

What about strict side sleepers due to severe lower lumbar pain and pressure relief for the upper torso? Ive had my Purple 2 hybrid for about 3 weeks and the pain it gives me from my neck down is unreal..its like sleeping on a sheet of ice..its bring picked up on Monday. I've narrowed my search down to the Wink and Saatva mattress. Any input would be extremely useful

Question: 1.5 PCF is said to breakdown faster since it is on the low end of the spectrum. With this mattress construction is that still a concern?

Hi Dan, thanks for your question! We wouldn't be overly concerned with the mid-density foams in the WinkBed degrading too quickly. They are about average and the durability is probably average for a hybrid. The micro-coils and 7 inch support coils should make for better longevity

@@danu65 we recommend against plush make, because it likely will have too much sink without enough support for you and your wife. The Luxury Firm should meet your needs for support, while having plenty of cushioning and contouring for sleeping on your side with shoulder pain.

These reviews are somewhat helpful, but it would be cool if they could get different body types and not just your standard light woman, average male and then your big 6'4" 250lb+ male. That's a huge jump from average male to big male. I fall right in between at 5'9" 205lbs. This review tells me nothing how it would feel for someone with my build. I'm gonna keep doing some more research.
