Robert, your heartfelt words about Lulu are truly appreciated. She is dearly missed, and we feel fortunate to reminisce through cherished memories, photos, and some of our KZbin videos. On a brighter note, the tacos were a culinary delight, especially when cooked on the versatile Trail Fire. Comparing it to the tailgate stove, the Trail Fire offers numerous advantages. While the tailgate stove connects swiftly to the outdoor LP quick connect port for quick preparation, its flame can be affected by winds, although a wind deflector does help. In contrast, the Trail Fire Grill stands out for sure as the preferred cooking method for us. As a multifunctional BBQ, Wok, Pizza Oven, and Outdoor Fire Pit in one. Its versatility allows for diverse cooking experiences - the Wok, doubling as an oven, is particularly impressive, providing warmth on cold nights while cooking. Sort of a 2 in 1 in that respect. The ability to offset the wok and grill simultaneously adds to the advantages. We've experimented with a variety of dishes, and the Trail Fire has proven its capability in almost everything you can imagine. We’ve cooked French Fries, stew, soups, Yakisoba, chicken, pies, pizzas and a large assortment of vegetable dishes and breakfast dishes. The key is to sea so. The Wok and use the red lever as the temperature control for the food and the dial for the fire pit. A Full 50k BTU rating. Anyway that was probably a lot. Great video. Don’t have an Ekko yet so curious what tire pressure do you run on the beach? Tires look fairly firm. On the revel I had ran about 23 psi to allow more float in soft sand.

To answer your question, your observation is 100% spot on we have the full 65 to 70 psi front and rear. Believe it or not I have not had to air down on the beach so far. There was one occasion where we started to air down and ended up just using the front CaTuned Off-road recovery bumper to get out. If I was to air down, I’d probably find myself at 20 psi and work down to at least 15 psi but no lower. Sometimes I find it’s all about momentum

Hello Bruce, Jason here. I hope all is well. I’ve considered multiple times the idea/need to carry something especially in the sand. The product I’ve been leaning toward is the Deadman. It’s confident and light enough to carry. I would consider using my spare tire, but do to the fact that is under Bad Betty’s rear, it might lend a challenge for access in the event that I’m completely bottomed out. Have you considered any options outside of the two? Thanks for following along and sharing your feedback.

Just ordered the Trailfire and carry case and used your code. Only concern I have is that it's only 50000 btu. Have you used it in cold weather? By current burner is 200,000 btu because I went through a bunch of lower btu burners and never satisfied in cold weather. My question is related to burner mode only with the wok on top and not the firepit mode.

We haven’t had any issues with cooking or generating enough heat to prepare pretty much anything from cookies, Yakisoba , chicken, ribs, bacon, etc. Do you want to make sure that you’re adjusting the temperature from the lever and not the dial. I typically leave the dial on high and regulate the temperature with the handle. This way you can really turn it opportunity down. It definitely generates quite a bit of heat and we have used it when we were camping up at Mount hood in the winter time. We have a video on that as well. Let me know if you have any questions once you get it or need a little bit of guidance of any type .😊

Do you weigh your Ekko when fully loaded? Someone told us that if you get in an accident and you are overweight the insurance company does not have to pay the claim.

We typically do not. I will definitely look into the “over weight” insurance policy claim as well. I’d argue that unless there was a determination that the results of the accident were a direct result of the weight of the vehicle, I don’t believe that an insurance company will consider this. Joe that’s not to say run around over weight and unsafe of course. I think given the totality of the storage and optimum use space/layout it might be difficult to overload with typical items carried.

How much propane does the Trail Fire use? Some of those things really go through the LP.

That’s a great question: if we are using it on high, let’s say sitting around on a very cold winter evening/trip you can use a fair amount. Not as much by any means as the other “Fire pit” versions we owned. Typically, we regulate the heat around a good medium setting and we have no worries on use. As for cooking, feels like we don’t even make a dent in our tanks. So, efficiency on cooking for sure. I hope that helps.
