How do you speak it? The The Rev can have the speed it is, but will never exceed Travis creativity, something that is not acquired, it has. The technique is the same now as you will use it, it is for each one, as well travis is creative, different and dynamic, the rev is very fast, and has a different footprints. Each one has his style, his way of playing, here I leave my respects to Sullivan, which is surely a great drummer and Travis will always be our drummer mad genius. Viva the battery!

@ThexSeventhxSeal Well, I'm no drummer, but I'm pretty sure most metalcore drum beats follow the basic hi-hat, snare/bass drum, hi-hat, snare/bass drum (basically a slowed down blast beat with the hi-hat replacing the ride cymbal). The Rev was one of the few who really went outside of that. But barker is still more diverse as a drummer, even though he is still highly overrated.

The rev's technical aspects of his drumming are far superior to Travis Barker. Sure barker has sick chops with his snare drums and he can hold down a beat, but the rev can not only top Travis in a drum off, but he'd probably sing while he did it too given his vocal work on both recording and live performances. The rev is the definition of a drumming octopus with words to belt out over the kit.

@kriderox I will Sullivan credit as a well rounded musician, but that doesn't mean that he is a superior drummer. Look at it this way, Barker plays a variety of genres, ranging from jazz to hip hop. The Rev just did hard rock and metalcore, nothing special at all.

i love you guys everyone thinks travis is overrated but in reality.. tthe rev is... he is the most predictable drummer ever and he is overrated because he is fast... so what..he can use a double kick pedal decently.. joey jordison kicks his ass at that.. but travis is much more well rounded drummer than the rev.. i dont have any thing against the rev and may he rest in peace, but travis is better.. hes more open minded... i will agree that non drummers overrate traviss, but drummers underrate

Most overrated drummer ever. Excellent musician. He was showing signs of being a good vocalist in his work in pinkly smooth, he could write some good lyrics, play some good piano, but his drumming was fairly average.
