This enlightened young boy will be the master of filibuster in the US Senate one day. I wish he could school all the Republicans about the values America has been founded on. Go boy. Go

Was there a given topic for the contestants of this compitition? Or were they free to pick their own topic?

This speech is still very very relevant nowadays with Black Lives Matter Movement. That also means, years and years have passed, there is none much of a progress that happened. The problem fought by Dr. King is still the problem plaguing us today. Let us not fail Dr. King and do cumulative efforts to put discrimination to end.

Of course. Well, not exactly. He would've had numerous rehearsals perhaps, and the result is on screen.
