@vocalizeyourvision54705 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Agreed, humour can be tricky. Always helps to try out your content on a smaller sample audience before using it on the main audience, to help avoid the scenario you mentioned. Nonetheless I watched your speech and I think you're doing fine!
@SuperPEman5 жыл бұрын
@@vocalizeyourvision5470 Right, but at times it doesn't even depend on the number of the audience, but the type of it. Amazing speech and congrats. And do you have any tips on humour and how to implement it into speeches ?
@vocalizeyourvision54705 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The elements of surprise and exaggeration work well. Some stories from your past are inherently funny, you just need to tell them well. Build up the suspense/ momentum and deliver the punchline well, with a slight pause before and after. These are just tidbits of course

It deserved first place, but as a young and curious toastmaster, should you be walking the entire time?
@vocalizeyourvision54704 жыл бұрын
Absolutely not. Movements across the space should be more purposeful and congruent with the message, as opposed to pacing back and forth as I occasionally did here (unknowingly). Thanks for the feedback

Good speech with funny, relatable humour. The speaker seems to borrow from Dananjaya Hettiarachchi - [ask audience question about relatable situation], "take it, add this number to it, and you get me."
