From my otb experience especially those players are salty af, assuming that 2300 on Lichess refers to the 2100ish elo range. Reason, imo, in that range players must have invested significant amount of time into chess to get there (2100 without any study is kind of tough), but still nowhere close to master level. From my experience those players take losses super hard, and are often salty af. Maybe I just had bad experiences, but there might be something to it

Yeah, otb I once had a rook vs bishop (I had rook) but my opponent had ten seconds with a three second delay. He knew it was a draw so he walked to get the arbiter so he could count out fifty moves, and I just played a move and quietly pressed the clock. He didn't get back in time bc I pretended to still be thinking, and he to this day won't talk to me. I feel bad as I cheated him outta fifty dollars, as this won me second. A draw would've given him second.

Mike14Gr The current requirements for becoming a Grandmaster are: An Elo rating of at least 2500 at any point in their career (although they need not maintain this level to obtain or keep the title). ... Two favorable results (called norms) from a total of at least 27 games in tournaments.

Mike14Gr I got it wrong with the 2600 rating thing, you need 2600 performence in a tournament with 3 gms from different countries, 9 rounds, time control at least 120 min. In addition, an international arbiter must be present to make the rulings during the event.

I love your videos, but I must say this. You have the skill set to become a GM, but if you ever want to achieve that, you must focus on openings that are solid. You are playing wild against weaker players for entertainment value, and I appreciate that for great youtube content. I know that norms and titles really do not matter in life, but you only play London System, and all else is gambits and crazy stuff. I would love to see you focus on some other "real openings" with the goal of beating stronger players with solid lines. Personally I would be extremely motivated to see you play lines that are not just "tricks for kids" as Ben puts it. You could make a series of "The Bitter Medicine" for the ambitious players who want to grind for better ELO with terribly sound theories. That could be the next wild thing in youtube: The Sane Players Guide to Chess.

Of course I know the expression in the title, but you could actually say that you SHOULD try this at home before you play like that! Eric, as always: You are an inspiration!

Yeah a two knight attack video would be great. I don't know what to play against the French and therefore can't play e4 in my (low level) tournament games. But on the other hand your London course was great and I'm getting good position with it. Thanks

6:15 onwards was hilarious. Also letting your opponent cry like a Grandmaster, lol.
