The most interesting thing in this animation is mostly the heavy implication of Charliestill having a conscience about both her sister, but also a soft spot for other sisters who have been torn apart by circumstances. Like, realistically, she was most likely the one who killed the catcoon and placed Abby's flower in a noticable spot. And from the torn apart roses she left behind, she also left the petal trail to lead Winona and Wendy the right way. And given her memory of Winona finding her in the basement, it's clear that Wendy coming for her sister in the cave tugged at her heartstrings a little. Perhaps, probably, she is hoping deep down that Winona will come into the dark to find and save her again.

I love the parallels being drawn between these four sisters in how similar their stories are. I also love the way that klei is retelling Winona’s and Charlie’s relationship and the journey of being sisters that they have traveled and will travel along. Also as a side note I think that Abigail’s flower was destroyed by the catcoon, but Charlie repaired it. Thus the plucked rose at the end. I think that it could be a Chekhov’s gun of sorts. Also maybe this is the cabin that Walter finds with the gramophone.

You can see that the petals that lead to the catcoon are actually rose petals, the flower associated with Charlie, so I thought Charlie was leading them to Abigail, but I never thought of Charlie repairing Abigail’s flower! That would be very interesting if she did! Also I think it’s implied that the cabin Walter went in was woodie’s, like the axe that looks suspiciously like Lucy on the stump, and how Walter’s map pointing to the cabin said “maybe he knows?” When he was searching for the werebeaver.

well, not a lot of new stuff, but at least we got confirmation that the reason for Winona's shadow affinity perks is that Charlie is actively looking after her just out of pure love and not for some convoluted plan like with maxwell. is nice to see Charlie is still herself even after everything that has happened

The rose at the very END of the short is what always got me about this one. The emphasis on being a child and playing childrens games tying directly in to playing "loves me, loves me not" with flower petals, and the rose ending with 4 petals. "Loves me, loves me not, loves me, loves me not." There's an implication that Charlie may feel that Winona doesn't love her anymore and is more concerned with taking care of everyone BUT her and a sensation of having been REPLACED by Wendy hence her bitter expression.
