bro, i love you! Your jokes and delivery are chef’s kiss 😂 Toronto isn’t quite as flat as Chicago but it’s similar, so I use similar gearing. I had my T1500 frame for 2 years and it gave me a ton of issues due to slipping steerer. They exchanged the fork under warranty, but that didn’t resolve my issues. The D steerer is cursed imo. Otherwise, I love this frame. I was so happy to see that the new T1550 has a round steerer! Call me an idiot, but I just ordered it and I plan on moving all the parts from my T1500 to the T1550. Hopefully no more having to retighten the steerer every 100km!

LOL, awesome!!! I get your humor and 100% agree. I love my Winspace SLC Rim and 38mm Hypers. I am in Boston and the crap roads require some extra compliance! I have the Kanazawa paint job which looks great close up but I do really love the turbulent blue of the T1500. I bike alone mostly and can avoid the social pressure of branding. The bike only needs to impress me and it does that in spades. Though, I also love my 2001 Cannondale R4000si (highly modified) nearly as much! Keep up the candid commentary! 🤣

Great review. For me, the UCI certification is a plus. It’s another example that they care about their brand recognition, which speaks to QC and quality. Makes no sense to invest in your brand only to put out ass-quality and have word-of-mouth absolutely negate that investment. Ordered a Yoeleo R12 following this logic.

I just took delivery of the new 1550 Winspace and can confirm that long and stiff is the way to go! I will say whole-heartedly that it's a thing of beautiful to ride, but in saying that, the 501 groupset has a character of its own... e..g. clicking sounds on certain gears and some automatic gear changes. 5:23 so much drag in these dub/ hollow tech style bbs. I just installed an square taper rpm BB with FSA bearings, I got 11 full crank rotations with 1 flick of the cranks. My hollow techs struggle to get 5 revolutions with minimal preload
@PatrickLino2 жыл бұрын
I gotta look into those…
@sbccbc74712 жыл бұрын
If you run a one-piece BB, your crankset can spin much more smoothly, even if you're on steel bearings. Perfect bearing angular alignment is the key to this and since you're familiar with cartridge-type BBs, I think you would've understood. The most recent one-piece BB I installed is a BBInfinite BB86 for SRAM DUB with their Ceramitech bearings. After less than 1,000 km, it can easily spin 10 revolutions without having to push the crankarm hard to spin it. Even with steel bearings, I believe it can come reasonably close.

All you really need from the FSA 69 system is the metal C-ring and the headset cover to route the cables. The inner diameter of the bearing should be a universal width, so you should be to use the supplied Winspace bearings.
