Winter Bushcraft Tent - One Tigris Hot Tent - Woodstove - Beautiful Mountain Scenery

Winter Bushcraft Tent - camping in the snow using a hot tent - beautiful mountain scenery - woodstove camping - no talking, only peaceful nature sounds.
First, I wish to thank One Tigris team for the Iron Wall Chimney Tent they gifted me last year. I only got to use it on this trip, as we did not have much snow here this winter and I wanted to set up my tent in a beautiful winter scenery. I took advantage of the late snow we had here last week and went camping with this tent in a beautiful fir tree forest in the mountains. My first impressions of the tent I used: light winter tent (very important if you are carrying your gear in a backpack), good quality waterproof material, good stove jack - behaved very well with the stove I used, if you use it with a stove inside, the tent will stay dry and warm, tent pegs are not very long so if you have deep snow you might have some problems with those, very easy to set up, good looking tent, enough room inside for 2 persons, so it's a good tent if you want to go camping with your wife/husband or a friend. Hot tent camping is not very popular in my country and such tents and stoves are not available for purchase here - not because winters are warm here, just because people used shelters and cabins in the past, and in modern times most people that go tent camping during winter rely on a good sleeping bag and modern wind-resistant, lightweight waterproof tents for camping in the mountains. I enjoyed this new experience, the atmosphere you can create inside the tent is very pleasant and beautiful, almost romantic and it is for sure warmer than normal tent camping. The disadvantage is you cannot easily climb up the mountain during winter with a very heavy backpack (woodstoves are usually pretty heavy), so I had to settle for a forest at the base of the mountain this time.

The mountain worth dying for brought life to a beautiful video. Woodstove gave birth to a hot beverage from cold mtn stream. The fir canopy opened a window to the fresh atmosphere. When I was in the military, we did a mountain exercise, where spent a few days on thee snow. We put two shelter halves together to make a tent, Danny and I put down dried bark then pine bows over the top of those then pitched the tent. Put a candle in the tent to warm it up, which the candle did. We slept back to back to share body heat, and we were warm all night.

You always bring it! All the qualities for a great video. The scenery is magnificent. The mountains and the streams are just stunning. Again, you always capture it so perfectly. You are so fortunate to live there. I'm glad Tigris gave you the tent as you mentioned. I say that because you would be a great candidate for any advertiser to sponsor. I've purchased so many products you use in your videos its scary. A compact aluminum snow shovel would have been nice on this trip. All in all, a really nice calming and relaxing video. PS, putting that polenta in the stove was a new one on me. Never seen anyone put food inside one of those stoves itself. Clever! Keep the videos coming. I enjoy every one. Here in the states its starting to warm up some. Right now we are in our "dont know what the weather is going to do next" season. Warm one day cold the next. Theres severe storms headed up from the gulf of Mexico for Thursday (25-3-21) high winds and tornados expected in the southern states and high wind expected in the northern states. Its like god keeps lighting the pilot light and the devil keeps blowing it out. Stay warm my friend.

Good Evening Johanna .. Nice, very nice 👍 .. thank you for sharing 😊. Mountains .. beautiful, majestic creatures that love dragging one ever upwards into their bosom. Unfortunately they must be climbed under one's own steam .. and with a full pack load that includes a hot tent and stove .. well .. 😊. One learns the meaning of 100m vertically being approximately the equivalent of a kilometre on the flat. And then there is gravity .. 😁. Anyway, that was a nice site that you chose. Close to water and looked fairly well protected. I'm glad that you remembered to close up the tent sides as I was thinking before you mentioned it, "That Girly is going to get cold tonight, even with the Stove" ❄. Nice and cosy though .. although I have never (and most probably never will) had the opportunity to 'hot tent' camp .. lucky you. Hot, steamy, sticky Polenta .. lekker (nice) 'comfort' food .. especially in cold weather. In South Africa it's known as 'Putu / Stywe (stiff) Pap' (porraige). A traditional staple, good for breakfasts and more important, part of our traditional (and also a South African 'National Sport' 😉) 'Braais' (barbecues). With an Onion, Tomato and Peppers Gravy and a fresh Tossed Green Salad .. Yumm 👍. That Johanna, was a super Thursday Treat .. and unexpected to boot 😊. Most welcome 🌹. Hi Johanna, Wonderful to have another video in a week. Congratulations and big thanks for the relentless work and your passion to share the experiences.😁 I also got the same tent myself but as we talked in the previous video, I didn't have a chance to enjoy it. That's unfortunate as I love this tent for being the only choice for me to have one backpack hot-tenting camp. Maybe next winter. But, you are right in the previous comment that the Spring and the Summer also have great things for us to immerse and enjoy ourselves. In Japan, most of the mountains are owned and protected by the government and regulations and I cannot find one to go camping, but still, I can fully enjoy what I can, while you will be certainly sharing your trips with us. And simply, THAT IS GREAT. 🤗 Looking forward to your next video, and also lastly but not least, thanks for the beautiful poem!
