Winter Camping & Cross Country Ski Touring West Virginia

Last week my buddy Sean and I went to West Virginia to do a little cross country skiing and winter camping. We had a blast out in it for a couple days, winter weather advisory and all! What activities do you like to do in winter? Let us know with a comment!

Nice I used to do a regular winter overnight ski trip into the Dolly Sods. Wild and Wonderful.

Such beautiful country out there! We just trade the east for the west. We moved to Utah. Can't imagine what snow adventures we could get up to out here! 😊

Thanks man! It was a blast! Definitely a fun adventure! Maybe planting the vans and skiing for the day without camping and carrying all our gear would be best 😉

Great video Matt, very inspiring. Did you have a subzero bag with you? Winter camping is the best, did it in my early 20’s in NH and had a blast!! Keep the adventures coming, love your content!!

Thanks Barbara! It was a lot of fun! I figured you would like it after you just went skiing yourself. I had a 5 degree bag that is stated good down to -33 F for a max so I figured it would be alright. More adventures to come! 😊

I have a “good for” 40 degree bag that has served me well and since I don’t have any friends who would winter camp with me I will keep camping a seasonal activity..... for now. 😊. I hope to head to VT soon and will bring the skis with me up there and hope for some good opportunities for adventure!!
