Fantastic video Becky, it doesn't take much of a grade, when you have full packs to kill the legs. I now have a luxe tent that has a inner liner for sleeping in, no condensation problems. I use to have the Hilleberg akto quite similar to the fjallraven but head room was not great. The dehydrated meals can be grim but I really like the fire pot ones in go outdoors. I’m enjoying your videos thanks for sharing.

Lovely stuff Becky. Nice to see you both near my neck-of-the-woods! I live in Mid Wales but near the Shropshire border, so this place ( Long Mynd in the Carding-Mill Valley?) is a regular for me, and have done a few walks and hill-walks round there. You were only a stone's-throw from Lightspout waterfall and there's a resevoir neaby where lots of people wild-swim. Gorgeous place. Loved the video as always. Stay safe both :)

Have a similar tent, the hilleberg Akto. With all the vents open, condensation isnt a problem unless there is no wind. AT 5'8 , I have a couple of inches headroom to spare when sitting up on an exped 4 season mattress. Length wise, a couple of feet to spare when lying down.

Had a lovely weeks Holiday last September in Shropshire near Ludlow stayed in a Cottage on a fruit farm which was pretty cool though we were not allowed to sample the fruit which was a bit sad lots of nice days out including walking in the Church Stretton area

I know exactly where you were. Personally I'd recommend carrying on down the ridge, past Pole Bank and the gliding club, because it's a lot more quiet and secluded down there with more cover (you can then head into Craven Arms and get the train back to Church Stretton). Some lovely views of the Clee and the Wrekin in the background -- also wonderful/quiet spots for people wanting to get away from everything in the world... except sheep (hence, watch out for the ticks!)

It has a great deal of variation in terrain, from what you see here, to the lush green lowlands around the river Severn, with pretty much everything in between. Some beautiful old towns too, Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Bridgnorth. I'm a Shropshire lad born & bred.

Interesting hill-top camping, just curious....if thunder and lightning rolled in ? Not much cover to distance oneself from ground strikes at altitude, or is the valley below safer ? Either way a striking video, in Canada we have a lightning danger map that warns of potential risks with a mobile hand-held device. May-be you and Jake could present a lightning/safety video for wild camping adventures. The van would be the ultimate protection....Cheers!

I used to believe that hiking was fuel for the soul in my home here in Colorado... until the whole f'n world decided to move here and crowded the trails, campsites, ski slopes, etc. I have to leave my own state to be able to find solitude on the weekend on a non-technical hike. 😖 #3rd gen Colo native.
