Winter CAMPING Up High | Camping with Monty!

Although you were happy to see me back on my last video I'm sure you will all be even happier to see a Gaz & Monty wild camp!
For today's adventure, we headed up a fantastic summit taking in excellent views of Edinburgh. We camped up a hill that I camped up solo back in 2020 called Capelaw hill which involved an excellent walk from Bonaly Country Park.
It was a fairly calm camp with the occasional wind gust but the wind chill was brutal at times. Hope you enjoy this one!

Another great vid Gaz, loved that bit when the lighting was low, it was almost a reddish colour, very atmospheric. Great to see Monty out again, and whilst I like both of your videos individually, you really do make an amazing team, so hopefully we'll see more of the dynamic duo, though like I say I am happy with any videos that I can enjoy the Scottish outdoors again. If you think your fitness level is bad, mine is horrific..walking to the car is my limit lol.

Thanks Susz, I think we both make a good team too. Hopefully I’ll get more films done with him on bigger trips this summer. My fitness has always been a little inconsistent. I definitely lose it very quickly if I don’t go out often enough. Well I picked up a Nortent Vern 2 in the BLACKFRIDAY sales at 25% off,2.5 kg delighted with it.I had to upgrade from my 30+ year old 1 person mountain hardware.as I now go out with my big muckle black Labrador Yelo.he just did a couple of pirouettes and plonked himself down leaving me squashed up against the side of the mountain hardware 😂.👍

There are plenty of good options Michael. I like the MSR Elixir 1/2 tents which are both spacious and fairly light. I recommend browsing websites such as Taunton Leisure or Go Outdoors and you might find some good options there. Most the tents I use are small one man tents but there are two person versions of the same tents I use as well. ATB Gaz
