Bro all those candles can light at once in a big tall fire if the wax gets hot enough I mean blazing like gasoline. Please be more careful I'm so glad your still alive and your crib hasn't burned. Please believe me this happened to me in my tent with votive candles

Whether you put a terracotta pot over candles or not the same amount of heat will be produced, as the heat created isn't amplified but just concentrated. It would take 60 tealight candles to effectively heat up a 100 sq.foot room. The dangers though are that your using a naked flame in a confined space and should fuel fumes somehow get in the crib it could be dangerous, also should the clay pots get knocked over somehow they'll be very hot to touch. If you use bigger candles instead like the pillar ones ( about 6-8 inches high, similar to those used in churches) you'll need less candles and they produce more heat and last for over 12 hours, but again there's the danger of setting the crib ablaze if your not careful. I hope that helps.

You need to cook the harder food for the longest, so start off with your onions and spuds and any other root veg, cook them until slightly soft and then add your meat and other softer ingredients, fry until the meat is looking cooked on the outside and then add your water and slow cook for as long as you can, it will be spot on trust me, I was a chef for 12 years, ask me anything you want 😊

You only need 10 candles and one pot with a 2 inch gap raised. Essential is 2 windows need to be cracked so you have an airflow for oxygen being fed through. I've heated my whole kitchen up to 20 with one bit pot!!!

It might be tough to do with the power situation, but you really need to have that slow cooker on up high for a while (maybe with a little oil/water/stock in) before you start to put stuff in. The meat going in first was fine, but it should've gone into a hot pot and then the lid put on immediately to keep the heat in until you put the other stuff in. Then keep it on high. Always have some gravy granules in the van to thicken it up too, vegetable goes with everything. And they're light and don't take up much room. We learn. 😘 Cool vid as always, mate. Loved the candle experiment! Haha!

We love watching you, makes us laugh every time. You’re a legend. By the way a “slow cooker “ cooks slow. At least 4 hours on high 8 hours on low. If you plugged it in when you set off on your trip with the food inside,by the time you have traveled and done your hike, the food would probably be cooked. Just a thought. Or cook the casserole at home and just warm it up as your travelling. Good luck buddy. Keep up the great work xx

If you're gonna use candles for heat you need those prayer candles in glass containers, if you bunch up about 8 or 9 they get so hot they melt all the wax in the candles. The tea candles are useless in my opinion they store no heat.

Put bricks under flower pot. It allows air flow. Then place larger flower pot ontop of smaller pot. Take little foil cup from bottom of spare candle & flatten it. Place flattened foil on top of hole on the top pot. Its an old greenhouse heating trick but beware...i watched a video where a man on his boat had a fire using this to heat his cabin

I highly suggest solar panels to go with your portable power. I have a jackery that accepts up to 60w charging. I live in Washington State U.S.A which has very similar weather to where you are. It's always cloudy. So I use a hundred watt solar panel and since I don't live near the equator I don't have to worry about my solar panels over charging my jackery because where I am my panels will never receive that much power( my jackery shuts off any way). What the 100 watt panel does for me is compensate for the cloudy weather, giving me up to 12w of power intake on a cloudy day at noon in the middle of winter and 30w on a sunny day. As it gets closer to summer the watts go up. A tip about it is, it's more about the angle of the sun in the sky then direct sunlight, the panels work equally well covered in snow even because the snow itself gets bright from the sun just like the clouds. Also a heating pad will work with your portable power you can sleep with it on top of you to keep you warm just watch out of doesn't get too hot. Sorry for the long comment

Great video love the drone footage it did look quite chilly. 100 candles that must be a world record the most lit candles in a car as a heater but you never know u know. I had a gas blow torch once and when I tried to use it on it's side it turned into a flame thrower your stove reminded me of that. I was quite relieved when you blew all the candles out. Have a great weekend and stay stealthy. 🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯

It's only worth using a slow cooker if you can leave it on low all day long. I'd get a decent sauce pan with a lid bring it to a boil.and simmer it for half an hour. Use a bit of gas but at least it will be cooked and you don't have to wait all night for food
