One of the best things i did for myself was to start therapy. It's not always easy, but it's always worth it. Thank you Pricilla for being so honest. Helps to know others feel the same way.

Just a tip when u buy new clothes wash them in cold water the first 3 times and dry them with delicate in the dryer or hang dry and they won't shrink

I love my dental office back in the states, they are prepared for the sensory sensitivities. They have sunglasses for the light, and choices of fidget toys. They do not yell at the autist/adhder for the imperfection of not brushing and flossing every single day. Which is also a sensory issue. Here in Denmark it is a whole nightmare story with my hygienist. Thinking of switching to a closer office for it.

I started receiving therapy a few years ago as I have a daughter with a mental illness and we are in the same situation. There’s a grieving process because you have dreams for your children and those dreams will never come true. Get therapy it helps so much ❤

I always appreciate your videos. I am more of a lurker as I seldom comment. I am Nana to a 13 yo grandson who is severely autistic, nonverbal. So I get it...I worry all the time for my son and daughter in law as they have to function on so little rest. Like the two of you, they try to balance out things but it is hard. Thanks for being so transparent.

I’ve had bereavement counselling, cbt and general therapy. I would highly recommend. Whatever the situation it can always help. I found in person better myself but I don’t have kids but I do have a hubby. I’m sure there must be something similar to this in the uk.

Therapy with the right therapist is so helpful. Both of you can be better for your family and yourselves. Not only was it not written in the "child instruction booklet" but we are not always made to breeze through every different issue in life.

It’s sad so many families split under the pressure of being full time carers. Therapy and self care is so important. Too many parents don’t recognise burnout.

I was just thinking, and I'm not sure exactly how to say it. I was watching Abi playing or rubbing her hands thru the shredded paper. You know those toys that have crunchy plastic stuff inside? Maybe that will be what she wants instead of shredding all the time? Just a thought, I don't know.

She is doing extremely well and has already grown into a much more beautiful, mature, and capable young woman. And Pricilla, you are an angel! Just as sweet as can be, and everyday you become more beautiful than ever, inside and out. Abbie is super lucky to have both you and Asa for her parents because of your patience and understanding of Abbie, and Isaiah is the best big brother for Abbie anyone could ask for! ❤

That’s funny about the tree cutting, bc it reminds me of my late dad. He was in his 60s and we had to have a massive tree cut down. He sat on the patio and watched them all day 😂 and he had all the tools too bc he was a woodworker. I had to show him how to use our new camcorder bc he wanted to record some of it🤦♀️😂

I'm neurodivergent and my brother isnt - our mother still would have massively benefitted from therapy. Not because she had any issues she was dealing with but because therapy gives you coping skills that help avoid big stressful and traumatic coping mechanisms. I would have benefitted massively from a mother that just knew how to stay calm or talk things through as opposed to shutting down or walking off when dealing with anything stressful.
