You are not the only one. I have been wanting the iconic 101801 coat for a decade now too. And I also was a little hesitant about which colour to choose (camel or blue or taupe). As I was browsing the Max Mara website recently, I found the grey 101801 coat as a separate item and not included with the group of other 101108 coats and their colour options. I couldn't resist either and ordered the last one in my size. It felt like a now or never moment. Max Mara are known for their coats and I can personally attest that because of their quality, whether the quilted cube models or their cloth ones, they last and last and last. I'm looking forward to wearing this grey beauty this winter, and the next and the next. Its a colour and classic cut coat I won't tire of. It will look great over many kinds of outfits from casual to dressy, from a pant suit, a dress, chunky sweater and jeans, long or short skirts to wide leg trousers. Grey is my favourite winter colour to wear and is a great foil for other pops of colour. I'm just as excited as you for this grey coat. Enjoy.

If you want the best down coat, I suggest Canada Goose. I don’t need anything that warm for my California climate, but if I lived in Northern Europe or Canada, that would be my first choice. No brand affiliation, of course, this is just general knowledge here in North America.

Hi, I need your advice 🙏🏻 about the Madame coat. I have a Manuela in IT40 and a Rialto in 42. I sized up for rhe Rialto, because it looked too tight on rhe models, and I wanted mine to be a bit more relaxed. Both, the Manuela 40It and the Rialto 42IT fit fine. I would like the Madame to be comfotable enough so that I can wear it with a chunky sweater. With Manuela in IT40, I can only wear a thin sweater or a shirt. But I think it's supposed to fit like that. How much do these two coats really differ (if you compare the same sizes for both)? Should I size up to IT42, like I did for Rialto? Or is the Madame already much more roomy than Manuela? Thank you 💕

Hi, Madame has a very relaxed fit. I would go true to size. Best would be going to store and trying them if possible. For coats I normally go with Eu size 36 or 38 (It 42 and 44). My Madame is in size Eu size 38/It 44. I hope this helps, 💕

I thought so but then checked google and it said I 44 for Eu 38. So I just checked mine. EU 38 = I 42. Online I found different size information though. Anyway on the label inside my coat it says EU 38 = I 42. Please make sure you have enough time to exchange or return if necessary. I am only 162 cm tall, around 55kg, but I like my coats to have enough shoulder room. I guess, if yours is a 38DE, I can't go wrong with it. Of course I'll order from the official site, which offers free returns and refunds, but I still have time, and they don't have it in charcoal grey anyway. Although, dark blue looks great too. I fold the sleeves up just because this is my preferred way of styling/wearing this coat. Also it is recommended by the brand. So no I am not planning of altering them. I went with my regular size. However I also think it depends on how tall one is. I am 170 cm tall and my jackets are usually size European size 38/ Italian 42 / US 8. I hope this helps💕!

Thank you so so much! About looking young I have to say, the lighting helps a lot 😅. I have been severely sleep deprived in the last 6 years (Not a single night that I could sleep through) because I have 2 young kids that wake up in the night, this really has taken its toll on my skin. I've never had ANY beauty or "skin improvement" treatments. My routine consists of washing with Cerave wash lotion and night cream (I use it for day too). And sunscreen if necessary. This is all I do. I used to love skin care products but back then I had more time to myself. These days, I am happy if I can brush my teeth properly, honestly. 💕Mahshid

Hi! Could I please ask for your advice? I have contaced 4 stores (not being able to walk at the moment, due to injury). I got different advice on the sizing for a Max Mara Rialto coat. Two of the sales assistants said I should go with a 40IT, and other two said 42IT. I will be ordering from the webstore, since the items are not available in my city at the moment. If it's no trouble, I really need your opinion. A have a Manuela coat in IT40. It fits fine, but only with a thinner sweater. It's a bit too fitted for chunky sweaters. I have decided to purchase a Rialto, but I need your advice on the sizing. I would like it to be relaxed, and not to tight or fitted. Should I go with the same size, or should I size up? How is the fit when you compare Rialto to Manuela? I would like the Rialto to be a bit looser than how it's presented on web stores. All the models on different web sites look like they have a Rialto in a size which is too small. I am 162 cm/55 kg Which has a more relaxed fit, Manuela or Rialto? Should I go with the same size? Hi, I have tried the Manuela coat in my true size 38 and I liked the fit. The Manuela coat is supposed to be fitted . I have never tried the Rialto but I see now online that it looks a bit more relaxed compared to the Manuela. My advice would be to order it in both sizes and try them with your cardigans and sweaters. This is an expensive piece and you really need to be sure about the sizing therefore I would definitely try it in both sizes in comfort of your home/wardrobe. Just make sure to read the return and refund policy. Thank you so much for asking me! 💕

I haven’t yet worn it outside because we have now around +10 and It would be too warm for it.
