On this date in 1958 {Apr. 16th} Dion & the Belmonts performed this song on Dick Clark's American Bandstand... One month and three days later it would entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #22 and spent 13 weeks in the Top 100...
