Yeah, one of these days I'll get a secondhand gopro and mount it on the back so I can edit in some B roll if there's someone following me. Or maybe a 360 camera on the roof then I can switch views as I fancy... The XC90 was often so far behind its view would be no different to mine with no other cars in sight.

Nice video and what an amazing place. So what mods have you done to the discovery 3?

Thanks. The disco was pretty standard other than the slightly oversized BFG mud terrain tyres on 17” alloys. Because of its programmable air suspension I can set it to ride higher than the usual off-road setting with my GAP IID tool. Just connect it to my phone and change some settings. Since I’ve owned it I’ve added some Prospeed rock guards and a compressor guard. Also fitted a Direct 4x4 roof rack. Not the best rack to be honest, but does the job. I’ve also built a drawer in the back to sort all my stuff when we have the roof tent on.

@@BikeLugger sounds like a nice setup that you have.. how do you find the independent suspension for off roading? I am about to pick up a Disco 2 this week and looking forward to seeing the countryside

@@adrianharrison5208 It doesn't flex as much as anything with a solid axle, however the terrain response combined with an auto box means it drives amazingly well. It's like having diff locks at both ends. Even when it's cross axeled it will keep on climbing. You'll have great fun with your Disco 2!

A few different aspects to my job, but part of it is to play about in the countryside as an outdoor instructor.
