The wrist band will also work as a strop in a pinch. That poncho was awesome. I carry the zippo too so I recently started carrying the zippo hand warmer since I already have the fluid and it works just as well as the packets. Killer set up. Back to junkyard fix that 60 percent wool is probably perfect for the climates you’re mostly in.

Golden Gildo I got the one that says “12 hours” and I would say at least that for sure. I’ve had mine stay warm for about 16 hours three different times. I think they’d work well at the foot of a sleeping bag but haven’t tried that yet. Definitely help that phone battery in the winter months also.

Hey Cuervo, The black poncho and hat looks really good! Nice EDC upgrades! I would also recommend working on your first aid, getting a tourniquet, and taking a first aid class, if you haven’t already. You never know, better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. Great video guys!

I am late to the party but have some questions: how does one find this stile od poncho? I am currently looking into different traditional ways of keeping warm in winter as I find the modern jackets to be often not good enough... a friend of mine used to wear a massai blanket last winter... greetings from switzerland :-)

Cuervo EDC looks to be will thought out and yes though hand warmers are a must in cold weather, throw a couple in your sleeping bag and it will help keep you warm in below freezing weather camp-outs (don't always trust the temp rating on the bag )

The MOLLE on the pouches should be fed back through the PALS webbing on the pouch. If the buttons happen to get undone...the weave should still hold it where it's supposed to be...at least for a while.

we only make edc updates twice a year(summer and winter), i like to think our channel focuses more on creativity and skills than just buying stuff. however, we do enjoy getting new stuff from time to time and if we can make a a few sales in our amazon store during the holiday season, that wouldnt hurt. it takes money to travel and film constantly, youtube didnt even pay us this month, so the few sales go a long way.
