Great video! You shared way more info than what most anglers would have. I honor you for that. Keep up the great fishing. True anglers have nothing to hide but teach only. I started fishing that lake from the 80s as a kid. Wish I can go back in time. The size is nothing compare to the old days. Over fish and especially drought really have damper that lake. Keep up the great angler knowledge. You look like one of the best anglers on that lake in todays time.

Thanks for the kind words. When you meet people at the lake who say your videos helped them catch more fish, that makes it all worth it.

Hello Meng, came across your youtube channel by accident. Im new to boating so question, If i plan to do boating on a weekend at San Luis Reservoir for the first time, do they have park ranger available to inspect the boat hence it says on their website that they are closed on weekends ( Saturday and Sunday).
@MengXyong2 жыл бұрын
At the gate, there's someone to inspect your boat. Just make sure the engine bay and compartments and trailer is dry. Don't leave your cooler in the boat either.

NOT SURE IS LEGAL IN CALIFORNIA ?

If you’re referring to the Atlas Rig, it was made to meet California regulations.

What line do you use with the atlas rigs to keep them in the clips? Great video! Thanks for all the info!
@MengXyong3 жыл бұрын
Thanks brother. For mono I use 30lb line. For braid I use 80lb line to keep it from slipping off the clip. The less wax on the braid the better.
@shawncupps23252 жыл бұрын
I use the big scotty clips and they work great on 50# power pro. I normally run the atlas at 50' back and have had to manually release from the ball with fish less than 5#'s.

Got nothing but love for you brother even though I have no clue who your are. You're already a better fishermen than me no need to prove yourself.
@wolverinex42432 жыл бұрын
Well, I appreciate you responding in like manner. I am the one that you hated so much in the past bc of you DUO videos and you called me bitter. I was telling you to reference Bent Rod Syndrome for they started that whole craze and I told yall to not expose where the bluegills live at the Aqueduct. My intentions were always good. Yall just took it the wrong way. I don't need to prove anything. Just out to prove a point. My mission is to make fishing better....to tell it like it is. It's no biggie. I thought if people (KZbinrs) stuck to what they say, they should at least prove it. I can respect an honest decline. No need to go to that extend. It will only hurt the game, but if it is necessary, we should prove ourselves....but if there's no ill will, let's drop that which is in the past.

@@wolverinex4243 You sound like someone who wants to do good. Leave the drama out and keep making fishing a better sport like you said. Stay positive and helpful. Tight lines!
