mate absolutely love that shot of the car going through the flood water, bet the two folk were not impressed, but hey bad weather makes great photos. We get our fair share of dodgy weather events, but last February our region was hammered by Cyclone Gabrielle, as I work for the local newspaper I managed to get all over the place to document the storms effects (vids on my chan). I still look back on this work with a lump in my throat, our once gorgeous region smashed to buggery and back. The power of nature always gets my shutter finger twitching. Cracking video again Robbie, congrats on just about hitting 10k subs well deserved, and many more to come. Stay safe out there mate.

As someone who lives in an urban area, I enjoy all your flood videos because they really show how powerful nature is. It's hard to believe that some people have to face such weather conditions several times a year. My heart goes to those affected by these floods.

Merry Christmas. Stay safe and dry. Pretty wild stuff this flooding. Back in my Mich. days I had a small, flat-bottomed Jon boat (my photo boat, I called it), with an electric motor. Could be just the thing for tooling around some of your areas. Another enjoyable video. Thanks for your time and effort.

Thanks for sharing, Frank! I grew up with a jon boat like that. Never for photography but it holds a special place for me :)

I don’t tend to comment on videos often (mainly because I use a KZbin app through my TV), but wanted to take the time to say how much I enjoy the work you put on here. It’s engaging, well made, and your photos inspire me to go out and make some of my own. Hope you’ve had a good Christmas and have a great 2024!

As someone born and bred in Northampton UK it’s fascinating to see your version and the impact of the recent storms. While I no longer live in the UK (now in Calgary Alberta) I have been to your Northampton on my travels to the US. Keep up the good work and stay safe. Thanks for sharing your stories.

It might be fun to try and work with black and white even if you think the colors are good enough to justify using the color film. It forces you to think more about shapes and contrast then color gradients. I found it does tend to struggle a bit in the fall and the bright leaves give you so much to work with. But with the New England winters and their scraggly trees its easier. It's also way easier to self-develop & scan black and white film which is a nice plus
@RobbieMaynardCreates8 ай бұрын
I totally agree - sometimes its nice to challenge ourselves. I have been working out there for a few years now and most of the work is in color and I was thinking if I wanted to put these into a book, it would be best to keep it all color.
