Aye that winter weather especially in NY thins my hair out unless I moisturize, moisturize, and I wrap it up. You are so on point with the tips. I absolutely love your hair!!! :-)

Hello Sis...essential oils need to be diluted with an all natural carrier oil FIRST prior to usage...Carrier oils can be something like Coconut oil, Almond oil, Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil...etc...this will help lock in the moisture after using a leave in conditioner or water. AND The scarfs should be 100% Acrylic...which looks like wool and is warm and soft and sturdy but without the fuss...just Fyi.

I did a video on winter hair care tips last week and we definitely have the same thinking. I didn't think about living in a place where you don't control the heat. Great video!

I use that shampoo as well. I agree, it is good. I like high grade castor or avocado oil on my scalp. Good idea on protective styles.

I LOVE hats and scarfs during winter. I need one of those SLAP caps to go under my hats (the silk lined hat). Not to mention if you have long locs your sweater will get in your locs too. *sigh*

Thamk you for the video. I need serious help though. I have had my locs for a while but was not taking really good care if them. What do I do about the frizzies? Is there a way for me to get rid of them? Thanks for being a resource.

I have had sister locs now since October this year. I have a very dry scalp and have been told by my consultant to not use oils on my hair. I feel my hair is dry and brittle. What can I use on my scalp to reduce dryness?
