This time I'm in the Black Forest, where I spend the day at the Viking Shelter that are located there. Making a tasty stew and Viking flatbread. Wonderful day in rain and snow. Hope you'll join me on this one too.

So much to say, where do I start…Your axe and saw are beautiful, a real work of art. And your seax is a beast. I love that almost everything in your kit is multi functional. You’re not some ‘wannabe’ reanactor, you are actually living the life, you were just born 800 years too late. I think that the world needs more pipe smokers, the aroma is just so pleasant. Did you say that you were in Denmark? I think I caught that from the last video. Once again, a 35 minute video flew right by, I loved it. Looking forward to the next video.

Hello Tom, I am watching this from Sydney Australia and we are supposed to be in Summer 🤣 it is 4.45pm and 9C and it going to rain again, it's been raining for what seems like months..... Fantastic winter outing Tom👍👍 I really like that shelter, it looks super strong and cozy. It reminds me of the ready made cabins built here in the states, all the logs fit together perfectly. The weather really looked cold and forbidding, nothing a good fire, delicious stew, Viking style bread, strong beer and signature Cimbrer coffee😉couldn't take care of though.. Only a real Viking can reach into a fire and make it behave...Great video, well done, thanks for bringing me along. Glad to see you're recovering nicely, take care and good health. Another awesome video Tom! That stew and flat bread looked delicious! Nothing like finishing it up with some Holiday Beer and coffee with the "Special" added flavoring! The best part! My grandfather also added that on occasion. When I was really young and I didn't know what Whiskey was for at his house. He told us kids that it was "Snake Bite" Medicine. LOL. Great memories. He taught us how to hunt and he bought me my first hunting knife. I have been carrying it during hunting season since I was 12 years old. I still carry it today and I am nearly 60 years old. I had it out in the woods with me yesterday during our last day of Rifle White Tail Deer season, which is two weeks long in Pennsylvania. Thanks for another great video Tom!

Oh the cold brings the survival instincts out In us hehe, I remember as a young man out chopping wood in the forest with a friend, we were sent to do this by the boss , bcoz there was little else we could do on the land when it was frozen and snow bound, but we were prepared, with a fire and a pot to boil water for much needed coffee, we made our hot coffee and took our first sip. Oo! Oo! I packed salt instead of sugar!!!!!!! I will always remember the sight of my friend spitting it out onto the fire 🔥 haha how we laughed......... Your videos are really great I always enjoy your time in the woods
