I did my first overnight trip in my new otter and now I have such a respect for you in how much effort that goes into giving us the finest ice fishing videos on the planet. It took me 2 hrs and I can’t imagine how tough it would be to set up all the camera and electronics you do. My hats off to you and all you do. Best of luck in all your adventures this season.

You know what I have figured out in life... Common Sense is not common. You keep doing what you're doing Clayton. You do a great job! There are lots of people who need the basic... basic information. I'm surprised how many novice some people getting into ice fishing really are. Many who have never even been on ice or fishing before. So everything is new to them. Thanks for all the content!

My my Clayton! As I’m watching this I’m like “man this guy really goes all out on his ice camping. I would love to do that sometime.” But then I think to myself “but I don’t want to have 4 snow sleds behind my rig to unload and load back up!” 😂 heck of a job! Loved the video!

Just to add to your safety suggestions. If using a propane heater you should be running a CO/Propane detector combo of you are sleeping on the ice. These are found in most RVs and I think it would be a good idea incase the propane line or connection leaks as you mentioned.

Genuinely got me with the syke lol. You should hit up Teton Sports for a wicked canvas pad. I picked up their xl cot/pad a couple yrs back and im probably more comfortable on that thing in -30 than at home in bed. Little pricey setup to get across the border etc but you won't have to worry about shredding that foam up or it lookin nasty eventually... bare foam kinda looks like something Mav would sleep on 🤣
@chevy358ci Жыл бұрын
The fish with the spine issue is caused by a major spike in nitrate/ammonia in the water during the fry stage at the beginning of its life. Happens to aquarium fish all the time. Most don't survive in the wild as they are handicapped and easy targets making them kind of rare. Thanks for a great video.

Good to see even you have those gong show moments. If I suspect it's a pike on the line I try to get my second line up, or at least partially up. Tough to do when you think it might be a tank walleye though, a micro second of slack line and it could be gone. Also, now I think you have to make some walleye wrapped bacon! Lol No idea how to pull that off.

that walleye had walleye warts or Lymphocystis. Caused by a virus. Most prevalent when walleyes are grouped, as in the spring spawning run. Also more prevalent for some reason in colder water.
