Funny thing I picked up my truck a couple hours ago from getting it undercoated and it also came from Texas and when I bought it back in July of 2023 it was rust free, well taken care of. I have been trying my hardest to keep it that way. So far it's been doing great, I haven't had a single problem ever since I bought it. My truck is a 2010 F-150 with Lariat body I only paid little over 21K for it

About working for grandpa. My family owned a machine shop from before I was born until I was 35. I started working in the summers when I was 12 cutting steel stock on the industrial steel band saw and slowly up to welding by 16. I swear to all that holy my name was either dipshit, asshole or dumbass from the time I was 14 at work. He expected me to learn and know more than the other 25 full time guys just because I was who I was. He didn't give a shit I was his grandson at work. But as you said I've never worked for a boss who spoke to me the way he did. It also taught me valuable life lessons.

I have a 2012Toyota Tacoma that has gotten the undercarriage sprayed with fluid film every fall for the 10 years I've owned it. No frame rust and very minimal rust anywhere on the truck. I live in the salt belt in Pa, plus I live in the mountains where they literally use gravel sprayed with liquid brine sprayed on it as it's dispensed. They call it anti-skid.

Pulling that Honda once and you said it hasn’t run since last year. Sounds like a lie but knowing you from watching your videos, I know you wouldn’t lie. That definitely was impressive. Just in case you don’t already do it, always turn the gas off a let it run out of gas. It keeps the carburetor from gumming up. Always watching from Panama City Florida,USA. 🇺🇸🦅 ! @TJ-o7f2 ай бұрын
Zero penetration his heat is way too low. Pretty welds mean nothing without penetration and there is no undercut to show he’s melting the steel he’s welding so it’s not penetrating it’s just laying on top
@rayboucher4792 ай бұрын
@ But it does look beautiful ! Mine look like shit and get no penetration one bend and they break.
@TJ-o7f2 ай бұрын
@@rayboucher479 I was taught to beat my welds with a sledge hammer to make sure they don’t break and kill some one. You can not judge a weld any other way in a small shop. I’m always very suspicious of good looking welds esp by rookies because they never weld hot enough

Spraying the bottom of the door will do little to nothing. They are primed and painted, regular car wax is all it really needs. Now the inside of the doors and rockers is where you need to spray. I wouldn't suggest using Woolwax inside the cavities as its a little too thick and will clog the drain holes. I prefer using Fluid Film or Surface Shield in the cavities. Woolwax on the frame etc for sure. Woolwax has far superior wash off resistance.

Mike you gotta kick the smoking habit. It cost a lot of money but mostly lung cancer. My younger brother died from lung cancer at age 71. It ended up going to his liver. Doctors said the cure would be worse because how bad it was. Week before he passed away he told them to stop the meds. He held out and passed on my Dads birthday. My Dad passed from melanoma at age 71.
