I tried to see as many films of his as possible when the UCLA Film & TV Archive hosted a big retrospective. FREUD is just a stunning, underseen masterpiece. I can’t believe how much David Lynch got from it for The Elephant Man

It was . I have seen it . A true cult classic not an arbitrarily designated one . All the Players are in top form . John Huston was a diabolical hoot in it . Anthony Perkins took a little from Norman but he didn’t kill anybody from the staircase and Jeff Bridges exquisite and perfectly cast . Even Elizabeth Taylor’s brief cameo was great .

AMAZING CAST ! TAYLOR doesn't even get credit in the trailer . The MAGAS and QANONS will fall for this hook, line, and sinker ! 😂😂😂😂 it was such a FLOP !

I truly can’t believe that new prints have finally been made for this. I’d love to see a reissue of the Richert/Larry Cohen/Jeff Bridges collaboration Success/The American Success Co. I’ll be seeing Winter Kills at the New Beverly next month alongside a ton of other Rialto classics

A dreadful film that only Tarantino could like. Its not funny, its not dramatic, and the plot is utterly incredible. There are a bunch of big name actors and none of them is good. Richert was an untalented director. I don't know how he got his films made.
