I watched this in Berlin and loved it! A great step up from Luz for the director and he stays true to his style of the disturbing, unsettling, and intense. they've done it. That 70 oldskool horror vibe the filters and the color grades they use nailed. When I was a kid I was scared by those types of horror movies It was the 70 that made me eerie but the movies from now look too clean and much CGI. Horror movies that are actually good are pretty rare, and this is one of those rare ones. It's also a great movie overall. The pacing is one of the best in recent memory, with something interesting always happening to hold your intention. The setups before key events is just great, and the ending was satisfying. I haven't enjoyed a Horror movie this much since the first Insidious film, and The Evil Dead 2, before that.

Fun fact: Cuckoos don't make their own nests, instead waiting for another bird to leave their nest unattended, then proceeding lay an egg which is almost indistinguishable. When the cuckoo baby is born, it pushes any other eggs out of the nest and eats all the food. They are called "Brood parasites".
