Winter Lawn Care For Over-seeded Bermuda Grass

Today we are giving everyone an update winter lawn care video for our over-seeded Bermuda grass. It’s getting cooler and we are noticing more moisture in the lawn that has caused some disease issues. So today we are applying a fungicide application to cure and prevent future fungal issues.

Annual Ryegrass holds alot of moisture. Once every other year i treat for fungus, but it almost always recovers from a fungus. Here in NC. I've commented before on one of your videos i think. I actually leave those clumps of the wet Ryegrass, bc it doesnt thatch and for me breaks down fairly quick. Some of the larger ones i throw in my vegetable gardens or under trees. I am on a few acres, so its a lot. Ive done the opposite of you this year and in the front yard and a test spot using perennial ryegrass. Definitely a darker green or finer texture, But the grass is more finicky than Annual Ryegrass. Annual Ryegrass will grow on a rock and recovers much better in our climate.

Negative, all grass types are susceptible.

What’s the lowest you can mow this rye

Great question and rye can be maintained as low as you desire. I’ve seen it as low as 1/4 inch to 3inches.
