I was just repeating stuff that other people have written and now that I went looking for the original source, the best I could find was Kaaoszine interview where Jari said "Some of the future Wintersun material is too complicated for me to sing and play the guitar at the same time." and therefore Teemu will play the hard parts. But I guess the important part was that Jari thought that he cannot play and sing *at the same time* instead of feeling that he cannot play those songs at all live, but some fans have misundertood this and repeat wrong information without checking the sources (including me).

@@evanstephen300 Teemu has done a few guest solos in different bands, and they have all been amazing. Wintersun would 100% benefit from him writing some of the solos. The solos in Wintersun always seemed like the spot for Jari to show off his technical skills without much regard for melody, while he used the long melodic leads that were more integrated into the songs to write cool melodies. The solos have always been the least interesting part of the band tbh, and that's coming from somebody who regularly skips the entire song and only listen to the guitar solo for other bands.

Thanks to Teemu's ungodly precision and clarity, I've worked out the bridge and solo, yet that string skip from high E to G at 0:31-0:32 still trips me up. I cannot figure out if he is pulling off 15-12-9-12-9 on G or just straight 12-9-12-9 after jumping down from the high e (Tap18-15-12-10). The recorded version by Jari sounds like it's just 12-9-12-9 and many have covered it like this, but it messes up my timing. Aaarrrggghhh!
