Part 1 of Van Life with my Wife Anne mainly in the rain and wind. Touring around the South Island of New Zealand. And Bruce comes along for the ride with our friends. We rented a luxury motorhome for 12 nights. Not my usual sort of camping but still it's camping and it's outdoors. And of course it rained... a lot.

I want to be there in that warm comfy van . To be able to have that view and a dog like Bruce .that would be heaven for me . 7 years ago i lost my hubby at age 54 to cancer . I took a lot of my life for granted we started of in tents then progressed to a touring caravan . We got away as often as work would allow .Ann is so lucky to have you around to do the driving and outdoor cooking I hope both of you have a long happy life with lots more trips together .

Nice to “meet you” Anne. What a beautiful location. Sucks about the van & that they won’t allow Bruce on board. All it takes is 1 careless pet owner to ruin it for the rest of us. I have zero doubt Bruce would have done anything inside. At least the company brought you a new one. The color of the water was beautiful ♥️. That little stream you crossed…I could have sat there for hours & just listened to the water & enjoyed the views. PS….Anne just never watch the videos on yourself on here then you won’t care….🤣. I am the same way. As long as someone doesn’t post it or I ever see it then “don’t know don’t care”. 😉. But I get it…there are a lot of nasty people out there. I sure hope they gave you a discount or something for having to re-pack up all of your stuff & transfer to another van. Plus having to drive somewhere you had not planned to exchange.

My doggie is my life. I feel the same way. I mean come on…people are renting it not living in it forever. Plus if people have the money to rent those & want to take their pet you know they are probably responsible people. At least offer them the opportunity & have them put a deposit down or something.

The lake and Mount Cook were breathtaking! What a wonderful place to see and live close to as well.
