This is awesome pretty good session considering it's winter. Might have to try some creeks/rivers this year. I haven't been out since December but it's gonna be warm this week hopefully I'll get out and get on one👊

@Absolute Unit Media lol you got it. I have my work cut out for me as you fish a lot more than I do

That was a nice fish your brother caught. They grow pretty slow down there. They don't get much bigger then that there. There used to be a 47 down there years ago but I believe someone harvested it or so I was told. That one with a weird skull I caught 3 years ago and it's crazy it looks like it hasn't grown whatsoever.

Thanks ya maybe a little male. That one Johnny caught was the nicest I’ve seen with my own eyes caught there

Do you ever catch saugeyes / walleyes in there also while throwing those jerkbaits?

Nope 🤷♂️
@woodsandwater123 Жыл бұрын
Is there saugeyes in there?!
@absoluteunitmedia Жыл бұрын
@@woodsandwater123 I’ve heard walleye, not sauger or saugeye

Nice fellas. Are these fish stocked in that lil creek or are thy natural fish that have just migrated up from a bigger river or? That looks fun I dream of them been in our small creeks.
@absoluteunitmedia Жыл бұрын
These are all stocked fish I believe but I’ve definitely found unstocked creeks where they are naturally reproducing
@reelguysfishing Жыл бұрын
Not going to ask "where", but is this a creek flowing into a lake or are these muskie coming up out of one of the big rivers? Looking to add muskie to my skill set this year and trying to learn about their habitats.
@absoluteunitmedia Жыл бұрын
Something like that…But there are much better creeks that I fish that just have musky in them without being connected to anything bigger…just harder to fish without a kayak or boat

It’s just my bass/walleye/pike setup. Medium power rod, 20 lb braid, 80 lb fluoro leader

20 lb Cortland master braid to an 80 lb fluoro leader via slim beauty knot….This is really just my bass/pike/walleye setup

Unfortunately that’s how most people get their first one. We have a spot here in pa that we call the virgin hole. Cause everyone goes there for their first one.

Can those stocked fish still breed or are they triploids?
@absoluteunitmedia Жыл бұрын
It’s not that they can’t physically breed, it’s the thick algae from farm runoff that suffocates the eggs. This is a problem for musky but not pike since pike eggs stick to vegetation above the ground, musky just leave their eggs scattered on the bottom
