Hi! Thank you ❤️ honestly I often have that problem too :D but whenever I build anything big or fancy I usually try to give each room a purpose (even if they all look like sitting rooms). For example, you can make a formal dining room with a small sitting area, a more casual dining room, a formal living room and then another more private one, a library/study is always a must :D maybe a room dedicated to a certain activity like a music room or an art room, etc… Watching Downton Abbey made me realize that rich people with old estates have waaay more rooms than they need but they can always justify it somehow :D

Thank you for your kind words and for the suggestion! It would be great if TOOL worked for me in build mode :D I did actually have bbb downloaded when making this build, but for some reason, TOOL wasn’t working outside of life mode. I checked for updates, but I had the newest version downloaded already and reinstalling didn’t fix anything either. But it’s not a big deal, I don’t really mind having to switch to life mode, maybe I’ll be able to make it work in the future :)

stunning! as always, details are on point. I have a question: when you're putting clutter on shelves, how do you prevent them from snapping to slots? also, an (unsolicited) advice lol: about the messed up icons at the top, if you're using the UI extension mod (by weerbesu maybe?), or twistedmexi's bbb, that's what's causing it. check for an update on those :)

Thank you! If you use the bb.moveobjects cheat and place an object on a snap point on a certain height and then take it off, it stays on that height when you put it anywhere else. Unless it snaps again to a different surface, then the height resets. You’ll figure it out, just play around with it a bit :) Also, thanks for the advice :D I did have twistedmexi’s bbb, and I already assumed that it was the reason for the icons being messed up, so I checked for an update and redownloaded it, but It didn’t help. I then deleted the mod but my icons stayed the same. Not sure what’s causing it, but they only look weird, they still work the same. Frankly, I got used to then and don’t even notice them being messed up anymore. Maybe I’ll find a way to fix them some day :D

​@@saeryal thank you for answering! best way to describe what I mean exactly would probably be on this shelf at 18:47. see how you've placed items, they snapped, but then you freehand readjusted them (with alt I presume), and they didn't snap back to slot even tho it was available? that's the part I'm trying to figure out :) good thing the icons still work tho! mine didn't to a point that I couldn't save the game, so I had to figure it out. twistedmexi's bbb is very finnicky with game updates, each one messes something up lol. since you even removed it, it's probably some other mod. thank you again

@@dzizs03 ok so, I’m actually placing the items on the floor, but they’ve kept the height they were at after snapping to the shelf. It’s a bit hard to explain, but if you look closely at that part you time stamped, you can see that when I adjust the items freely, my cursor moves down a bit under the shelf. That’s also why I moved the counters away, otherwise the items would snap onto the counters after moving my cursor down. And yes, holding down alt is very helpful in this process, not only does it eliminate the limitations of the grid, but it usually helps prevent unwanted snapping. I’m sorry that my explanation is pretty chaotic but I don’t know how else to put it 😅
