Well done Will, we're loving our Recoheat and it's become a mainstay of our house heating this year. The visualisations of the modelling are really interesting too.

Thanks Richard. It's such a pleasure to hear it's changed how you heat your home: that's pretty phenomenal for such a little device, isn't it. That Kevin is a clever fellow. Thanks for all the support, and have a lovely warm Christmas!

We think we are only using 50% of the logs that we used to before we had a Recoheat fitted. Our pump is in the loft 15 meters away and is very quiet, we might be loosing a bit of pressure but it’s worth it being very quiet indeed.
@Recoheat2 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much Andrew - that's wonderful. You make a really good point about the length of the tube and the sound suppression it provides: I did mean to mention that people should not cut the tube down when they're fitting the pump close to the stove, but should coil it instead because it does affect the sound level. Thanks very much for sharing your experience.

My stove before I fitted a recoheat would heat our room OK, but a far better heat distribution with the recoheat fitted. Having now seen and felt how the stove operates with the infrared images it all makes more sense. And far less fuel for the same heat.

Fantastic - thanks Chris. It's really interesting to see actually how it is working, isn't it.

Still using our stove daily because it's so cold at night (and often during the day too) but I can't wait for better weather so I can sweep the flue and get a Recoheat in there. Just wishing I'd known about it sooner. I've been heating exclusively with wood for 25+ years, I'm certain it'll be hugely beneficial. I really appreciate you sharing the modelling visualisations, and being so frank about the design evolution too

Had the Recoheat for a month now. Conclusion: revolutionary product. I noticed a change in my living room immediately with it reaching 25 degrees Celcius very quickly with minimal logs being burned. It took me some time mastering how to get the heat upstairs and was bit of a challenge as my living room is sandwiched between the kitchen and the passage leading to the upstairs stairway. Today was -1 degrees, I burned a total of four oak logs in a 7 hour window. The living room reached 27 degrees (an additional two degrees because I accidentally discovered that placing a woodstove fan in front of the Recoheat heat outlet valve increases the Recoheat's efficiency even more and evenly heats the room very well - no idea what the science behind it is but it simply works). The upstairs reached a comfortable temperature where I have been able to wear a t-shirt. I haven't measured the temperature but it is between 18-21 degrees upstairs which is not bad at all considering it is -1 degrees outside and my house is poorly insulated. Simply blown away by this product. Only down side is the noise but it is more than worth putting up with to reduce your utility bills (and the amount of logs you get through). Think of it as the noise of saving money - and I will never get bored of that noise! kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6DdomZpl6-ioKcsi=0joP0WgVyw-BEINw this is an independent review of the Rechoheat by a man that knows his stoves very well.

You say you are a tiny company however I think it is just a matter of time before your organisation blows up and people with stoves become wise to your exciting product. I purchased the 5" Recoheat and waiting on it's arrival. The people at Recoheat have been absolutely amazing at responding to queries and providing detailed advice putting my mind to rest. It is the first time I am having a woodburner installed at my house and I was very surprised that the fitter/engineer did not know about Recoheat - he seems very intrigued and enthusiastic to install the product and see how it works for the first time. I have been watching as many of your KZbin videos as I have been able to and am very excited. As a first time purchaser and user of a woodburner I determined that anything that would make the woodburner more efficient I would do, particularly as I am spending a lot of money on it being installed. If I am spending masses of money on set up i really want to ensure I maximise the woodburner to the best of it's ability. It comes at a £300 which appears to be a lot on the face of it however I think the benefits outweigh the price tag and the fact that it has been described as a game changer makes it a no brainer for me. Do your research people and purchase it ahead of the colder months! I haven't even got it and I know from my research that it will benefit my poorly insulated house very well! Amazing product that is innovative and I love good innovation! I'll be recommending it to my manager at work that's for sure!

Any chance of a video of an install from start to Finnish. Like a retro fit into an existing stove please 👍🏻
@Recoheat Жыл бұрын
Hey Dolf, there are a couple of examples across the videos, but there's probably not a standard way to do it because of the variation of installs. We'll try to build up a collection of videos of people fitting them - it's a really good idea.

Great looking product thinking of buying one are they ok to use with a flue liner or can they cool the flue down to much and create creasort do they get in way when flue is swept
@Recoheat Жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, there's an FAQ video on that: basically, no because we're taking too little heat out of an unrestricted gas flow, and the coil is hotter than the rest of the flue and its configuration uses turbulence to repel the particulates. And they work perfectly with a flue liner! Many thanks for the interest.

I´d really like to see a comparison between the same stove beeing equipped with an external air intake, so that it won´t suck the cold air from outside into the house anymore, and beeing equiped with a Recoheat system. I guess that the difference would be not that great, but that´s just a guess. Those guys who have added an external air intake connected directly to the stove tell about a great effect, more heat, and better spreading through the house. The Recoheat does exactly that, it approximately delivers the stove with the amount of air that it needs to burn, so no more need to suck cold air into the house. Now it adds some extra heat wich would otherwise be lost through the chimney, but I guess the main effect is similar to an external air intake. I did equip my own stove with a kind of homemade version of the Recoheat, which is not that beautiful, but completely noisless thanks to a silencer directly behind the pump and another one at the hot air outlet. Further it has a temperature switch mounted to the chimney pipe, which switches the pump on and off automaticly. I could not be happier with that, and my stove does not have a possibility to connect external air intake, so that would not be an option.

The RecoHeat does NOT supply any combustion air directly. Though it would to tiny amount increase inside pressure, and I guess to some also tiny amount replace consumed air. I suppose pumping inside pre-warmed air would be a benefit.
@matthiashacker64599 ай бұрын
Hi, I didn´t write that the RecoHeat delivers combustion air directly. But maybe my English is worse than I thought it would be. ;) Yes like you write it, I tried to express that it does to a certain amount replace the consumed air. If the stove is running at "full throttel" when heating up for sure it will consume more air than the pump delivers, but once the stove is hot and running smooth, the pump might deliver even more air than needed. @@davidallred2947

Would be nice if placing the pump outside to put a standard plug on and not a sealed one as one could then push the cable through a relative small hole then reconnect the plug.
@Recoheat Жыл бұрын
The units are sold as a sealed system so that they're weather-resistant, so it's all-in-one. It's a faff to have to cut them, but we still cover warranty-wise.
@FrancisCWolfe2 жыл бұрын
I wonder how it compares to a stove with an Ecofan or the like?
@Recoheat2 жыл бұрын
Apparently you will get some oscillation at the blades of the fan, but overall the effect is tiny with a fan because the flow is laminent and isn't a jet like our unit - and also isn't heated. Not even a large electric fan would achieve the same stirring effect as we experience with the Recoheat and see for the first time here.

Thanks for the response and very good to know that for £300 you are getting much more. The physics and innovation is very impressive I have to admit. You really must advertise this product more as people just are not aware how much of a game changer it is.
